Archer is a wicked triple-threat scoring option with a silky smooth touch. This versatile stud can stretch the defense with a long-range rainmaker, Catch and shoot 3-pointers, aggressively attack off the bounce with a quick mid-range dagger,r, or use a variety of craft moves, including a nasty spin move to get to the rim for fierce finishes. Archer has been blessed with athleticism and coordination from birth.. Archer is quick off screens to get his shot off or cut to the basket and score. Archer has great court vision and drives to the basket with no hesitation, rarely stopped from driving to the basket, but when he is, he has teammates to pass to. Archer, I was taught the importance of playing both ends of the court, so he tries to play with 100% effort at both ends. Archer loves taking a charge or blocking shots when possible on defense. Archer is a small forward but one of his greatest strengths is being able to play the 1-5 when needed. Archer also has a good sense of how missed shots come off the rim and can get rebounds. Archer loves to pump up his teammates and be encouraging.
This past season, Archer averaged 14 points and 6.2 rebounds, with 5 Double-Doubles while shooting 60% from the field. Archer led the team in taking charge. The most motivating thing that happened to Archer that will push him moving forward was falling short of the team goal of making it far into the playoffs last year and that is the source of his motivation for this season. They were all sophomores and 1 junior last year who hoped to go deeper into the playoffs than they did. Funny how something so painful provides such motivation. Archer's goal is to be the best teammate he can be. Secondly, whether it is taking the shot, passing the ball, or setting a screen, Archer wants to make the best decision on a play-by-play basis for his team. This will lead to his biggest goal of winning a State Championship. They look to make a very strong run this year.
Archer did not play for an AAU team in 2024 but worked on fine-tuning areas of his game and spent time with a private trainer, putting MANY shots up and time in the weight room. Archer will be playing AAU in 2025 and is currently looking for a team where he can bring his strengths and have an immediate impact. At 6’5”. Archer moves very well with the ball but thinks ball handling is an area that one can always be better at.
What fuels Archer's fire out there is at the beginning of a game as soon as he hits that first 3-pointer, dunk, or lay the fire is lit! Also, when it is late in the game and they are behind there is a sense of urgency that sets Archer on fire and makes him want the ball in my hands.
Archer had a coach explain “Shot Amnesia” to him a couple of years ago. The second his shot goes in or not I must be 100% into the next play. When Archer realized how thinking about a missed shot or bad play takes away from the current play, this was an eye-opener for him. If he is not 100% focused on the current play Archer believes he is hurting his teammates and not being the best version of himself.
Archer's focus and commitment to leave it all on the court separates him from others. Even if they are up by 20 points and there is a loose ball on the court Archer is diving for it. Not only is each game a battle but each play is a battle as well. No one ever doubts Archer's effort and commitment to playing hard. He is also vocal during the whole game with his teammates. Archer often arrives at school early and puts 150- 200 shots up before school starts.
By the time Archer graduates he sees himself playing DI or D2. Archer has 2 full
Years of high school left and has very high expectations for himself. Archer will happily play at other divisions and completely realize playing at any level after high school is a blessing.
I assess Archer has all the tools in his bag to excel on the next level with the size to match them. Archer is the total package and a coach's dream in every way, checking every box. Already performing at a high level the hunger and passion to keep improving is driving Archer with focus and purpose. Archer's potential is extremely high to try at any level, and he will live that dream. A monster season is coming. Buckle up y'all!
