Landon plays with a blend of throwback fundamentals and modern toughness that’s becoming harder and harder to find. He brings a high IQ, a strong body, and an unselfish mentality that allows him to impact every corner of the court. Inspired by legends like Jokic, Bird, and Duncan, Landon’s game is built around smart decisions, clean footwork, and relentless effort. Whether he’s finishing with touch around the rim, pulling up for a midrange jumper, knocking down a three, or threading the needle with a dazzling pass, he brings control and composure to every possession. He protects the paint, alters shots, blocks with timing, and never stops hustling. A vocal leader and team-first competitor, Landon is a coach's dream: dependable, tough, and wired to win.
This season, Landon averaged 11 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block, and 1 steal per game while shooting 53% from the field, 36% from deep, and 65% at the line. He consistently created paint touches, pulled in two offensive boards per game, and was named All-District for the second year in a row. His breakout performance came against Scotts Hill, dropping 22 points, 9 boards, and several blocks in a dominant win. He followed that up with a 20-point, 14-rebound game in Loretto, proving he can produce in big moments. But what made this year truly special was his growth as a leader; he was more aggressive, more confident, and more vocal than ever before.
This offseason, Landon is focused on becoming a more complete threat. He’s working daily to improve his ball-handling, footwork on the perimeter, stamina, and athleticism. He’s especially focused on becoming a more confident slasher who can take defenders off the bounce, absorb contact, and finish strong. His mindset locked in on improvement like owning his mistakes, studying film, and turning every rep into a lesson.
He’s playing with the Tennessee Tigers under Coach Ryley McClaran and Director Chip Smith, looking to grow his game against top competition. With live periods approaching, including Atlanta Jam and key July events, Landon is determined to play more physical, lead with purpose, and earn the exposure he’s chasing. He’s not looking for shortcuts, he’s looking for growth, one hard-earned possession at a time.
Next season at Perry County, Landon’s ready to build on everything: his bond with teammates, the experience under Coach Kirk Haston, and the deep basketball pride that runs through his program. He’s hungry for revenge against rivals and determined to raise the bar every single game. Fueled by his parents’ passion, the echo of hometown cheers, and the tradition that comes with his jersey, Landon hits the court with pride and power. And when facing adversity, he rallies, regroups, and rises to the challenge.
The best advice he’s ever received came from Coach Chip Smith, who said, “Basketball is a get-to, not a have-to.” That mindset, gratitude, grit, and growth guide everything he does. And it’s exactly why Landon is a forward to watch.
I assess that Landon offers the total package of size, skill, smarts, and a non-stop motor. His polished fundamentals, court vision, shot consistency, and rim protection give him versatility at the forward spot. He can stretch the floor, anchor a defense, and impact the game in subtle but meaningful ways. Coaches will love his team-first mentality and ability to execute on both ends.
Landon is on the rise, and his hunger to improve is what makes him dangerous. As he continues to improve his perimeter tools, builds explosiveness, and adds more scoring confidence, expect him to evolve into a dominant force in Tennessee high school basketball. His leadership, toughness, and love for the game will carry him far , and he's only getting started. Stay tuned.
