The next game became the stuff of legends. After falling behind early, Burlington battled back and found itself locked in a war that eventually went into three overtimes. Time after time, Troy delivered under pressure, calmly hitting clutch free throws and making winning plays when everything was on the line. Then came the moment that will forever be etched into Burlington basketball history. With just 3.7 seconds remaining and his team trailing by one, Troy raced the length of the floor and hit a game-winning fadeaway to send his team to the state championship game. It was the defining moment of his career so far and a reminder that some players simply embrace the biggest moments.

The championship game showcased the same toughness and leadership that Troy displayed all season. Facing intense defensive pressure, he confidently handled the basketball and directed the offense against one of the state's top teams. Burlington fought toe-to-toe throughout the first half before Wichita Collegiate created separation late. Even in defeat, the season remained special because of the bond shared by a group of teammates who became brothers through the journey. During the state tournament, Troy averaged 13 points, 3.3 assists, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.7 steals per game while shooting a blistering 44 percent from three-point range and a perfect 100 percent from the free-throw line. Looking ahead to his senior season, his goals are to continue improving his ball handling and shooting, add strength in the weight room, become even more physical, win the Burlington Invitational Tournament, go undefeated in league play, and finish the job by bringing home a state championship.

When Troy steps on the floor, coaches can expect maximum effort, high-level decision-making, relentless defense, and a player who treats every possession like it matters. Fans can expect energy, leadership, and a competitor who thrives when the spotlight gets brightest. As a rising senior, Troy is preparing to make sure his final high school chapter becomes his best one yet.
