Prince Reeves is a crafty combo guard with a scorer's mentality. He can light it up from deep, break defenders down off the bounce, and make them pay with a punishing middy when they overcommit. What separates him from many players is the variety in his offensive game. He is comfortable creating his own shot, attacking gaps, and scoring at all three levels while also embracing the challenge of defending on the other end. For a young guard, his confidence with the ball and willingness to compete on both sides of the floor make him a tough matchup every time he steps between the lines.

This past season was an important chapter in his basketball journey. As a freshman, Prince averaged around 10 points, 5 assists, and 4 rebounds per game while earning District 1-5A Newcomer of the Year honors. That award was more than just another trophy. It was proof that all the early mornings, late nights, and unseen work were paying off. It was also one of the goals he set for himself entering his freshman season, making the accomplishment even more meaningful. Along the way, he helped his team make a solid postseason run while continuing to grow into a larger role.

One of the biggest lessons Prince learned this season was patience. Early in the year, playing time did not come as quickly as he hoped. Instead of becoming frustrated, he chose a different path. He worked harder than ever, stayed ready, and continued proving himself every day in practice. Eventually the opportunity came, and when it did, he made the most of it. That experience taught him that hard work always has a way of opening doors for those willing to keep pushing.

Since the high school season ended, Prince has continued to elevate his game and prepare for bigger opportunities. Playing on the Puma Circuit has given him a chance to showcase his talents against strong competition while getting his name in front of more people. Recently, his game has reached another level thanks to major growth in his mid-range attack and the development of his left hand. Defenders can no longer sit on his dominant hand because he is becoming increasingly comfortable attacking both directions. Once defenders close out hard to respect his shooting ability, he makes them pay with pump fakes, strong drives, and smooth pull-up jumpers. Those improvements have fueled several huge AAU performances, including explosive 28-point and 23-point outings at PRO16 Session 9.

His biggest improvement during his freshman season was his defense, consistency, and confidence. As his confidence grew, so did every other part of his game. He became more comfortable taking shots, more willing to make plays for teammates, and more committed to doing the little things that help teams win. The growth was noticeable, and it continues to show every time he steps on the court.

Among all his accomplishments so far, making varsity as a freshman, earning Newcomer of the Year, helping his team make a playoff run, and establishing himself as one of the top young players in his area stand out the most. Yet Prince is far from satisfied. His focus remains on improving every day, helping his team take another step forward, and continuing to build his name as one of the rising guards in Kentucky.

As he heads into the offseason, Prince is focused on expanding every part of his craft while helping prepare his teammates for what lies ahead. He wants to become a more complete player, a stronger leader, and a bigger weapon for his team. Coaches can expect a competitor who plays hard, embraces challenges, and brings energy on both ends of the floor. Fans should expect a more confident, more exciting, and more polished version of Prince next season. If his growth continues at this pace, there will be plenty of reasons to keep watching.

I assess that Prince is a skilled young combo guard who brings a dangerous mix of shot-making, playmaking, and defensive toughness to the floor. His ability to score at all three levels forces defenses into difficult decisions, while his improving handle and confidence continue expanding his offensive arsenal.
