Brayden brings a fierce, relentless motor to the court that’s impossible to ignore. A pass-first point guard with electric court vision and a non-stop engine, Brayden commands the floor without needing the spotlight. He thrives under pressure, slicing through traps and attacking the rim with confidence, while also rebounding at a high level for his size. What separates him from other guards is his trust-first mentality, he sees the floor like a true general, always looking to get teammates involved while setting the tone with unselfish play and gritty defense. Coaches can expect a fearless competitor who gives every ounce of effort, controls pace, and elevates the entire team with his presence.
This past season, Brayden averaged 16.2 points, 5 assists, 6.1 rebounds, and 2.2 steals per game while leading Northview to a Wabash Valley Classic title and a sectional championship. His biggest improvement was his defense and from beyond the arc, and he credits his growth to greater trust in his teammates and embracing team-first basketball. With momentum on his side, he’s locked in on finishing above the rim, becoming a deadeye shooter from three, and continuing to grow stronger heading into next year. His motivation is chasing even more: another conference title, another Wabash Classic win, and the school’s first-ever Regional and State Championships.
On the AAU circuit, Brayden plays for the Indiana Jammers with his sights set on the UA Rise Live Period in Cincinnati. His AAU goals are to become a consistent long-range threat, rack up assists, get a few in-game dunks, and earn the college interest he’s working so hard for. What fuels him isn’t the hype but knowing his team trusts him, and he plays every game with that belief in mind. Brayden doesn't chase emotion, but he sure brings heart and effort. 100% every time, every play, every possession.
Brayden handles adversity with calm and control, letting the game come to him and leaning on teammates to get through tough moments. His poise in the face of pressure is mature beyond his years. Brayden already holds an offer from Depauw University and passed the 1,000-point milestone last season, a testament to both his production and consistency. But ask him what means the most, and it’s the advice from Coach Nevill: “You’ve worked hard. Go do what you know best.” Brayden lives that every time he steps on the floor.
I assess that Brayden’s high motor, vision, and selfless play make him the ultimate extension of a coach on the floor. His ability to create offense, rebound as a guard, and set a winning tone through hustle and heart can make a powerful impact at the next level. He checks boxes that don’t always show up in box scores but win games.
Brayden is just scratching the surface of how high he can fly. As his strength and shooting continue to improve, expect a dynamic lead guard who can anchor both ends, elevate teammates, and deliver in pressure moments. His unselfishness, leadership, and fierce work ethic give him next-level potential with sky-high value to any college program. The stage is now set for a strong summer and a breakout season ahead. Stay tuned.
