Roman is a well-rounded guard with a steady presence, competitive fire, and an unselfish approach to the game. He’s effective without needing the ball in his hands for long stretches, thriving as a catch-and-shoot sniper while also showcasing a soft mid-range touch and lethal floater package. He makes smart reads, works hard on the defensive end, and finds ways to contribute in both scoring and effort plays. Coaches can expect him to compete on every possession, play with purpose, and find comfort in doing the work others overlook. His consistency, combined with a team-first attitude and high motor, gives him a strong foundation to build from.
Roman averaged around 7 points per game despite missing the first half of the school season due to a dislocated shoulder, an injury that tested his resilience but ultimately fueled his growth. The biggest improvement in his game has been his shooting and his focus this offseason to become even more reliable, especially from deep off the dribble. His defensive effort stands out already, but he’s hungry to turn that strength into a true difference-maker. Whether it’s extra reps, recovery, or time in the weight room, Roman approaches the game with discipline and focus.
He plays for Austin Unbreakable on the UA Rise 16U circuit, with the goal of becoming elite on both ends of the court. The upcoming live periods are a big opportunity, and Roman is ready to compete. With six seniors graduating and two players transferring out, next season at St. Andrew’s offers a chance for him to expand his role and step into more leadership and production. What drives him most is the energy of competition, being surrounded by players who go hard and push each other every day. That mindset flows back to the best advice he ever received, “Go as hard as you can go, as long as you can go.” Roman lives by it.
He continues to handle adversity with patience and toughness, never letting setbacks derail his focus. Whether recovering from injury or elevating key parts of his game, Roman stays composed and puts in the work. Off the court, he enjoys lifting, training, and focusing on recovery to stay ready for the next challenge.
I assess that Roman brings a dependable skill set with shooting, defense, and toughness that translates well to the next level. He may not be flashy, but he’s efficient, smart, and plays with heart, traits every coach values. With continued development, especially as a scorer off the bounce, he has the potential to be a reliable two-way contributor in a structured system.
Roman’s steady improvement, strong mindset, and willingness to grind through adversity point to long-term growth. As his confidence and role increase, expect him to quietly emerge as a key player, one who competes, defends, and does the little things that help teams win while taking on a bigger leadership and scoring role. He has big shoes to fill, but he welcomes the challenge. Stay tuned for a breakout season ahead.
