Keaton Baird @Keaton_baird class of 24. 6'5 Spencer County High School in KY is an exciting young star to watch. Keaton is an extremely athletic wing that can score effectively on all three levels. A high percentage shooter who understands how to use that big frame on both ends. Keaton plays with high energy, toughness and heart. Keaton has a high offensive IQ and is an unselfish player always looking for the best shot even if it takes that extra pass to get it. Nice handles to free himself up for good shots. A physical defender and rim protector. Keaton also is a very aggressive rebounder. Last season coming off the bench playing only about 16 minutes a game still averaged 9pts and 5reb per game. In the summer AAU session Keaton elevated his game and earned a starting position and sent his stock rising with some incredible performances against some great talent. He averaged 15pts, 8 reb, 3blk, and 3stl per game.  I'd say his defense was his biggest improvement though there was evident improvement in every category. Keaton's defensive timing was amazing to see. Don't challenge him at the rim because he has developed into a fierce shot blocker and will contest every other shot taken it a tough assessment to score over him. Quick hands and great footwork help a lot on the defensive end with that timing. This upcoming season Keaton has set a goal to get to Rupp Arena for the state championship. One last run at the biggest stage in KY and be among the many great teams to accomplish this mission. Keaton has the fire and passion to help his team make a deep run this upcoming season. Adding he is determined to elevate his game even more along the way becoming the best player and leader he can be. Spencer County is goal to be a fun and exciting team to watch.
