Miles is a versatile wing with a motor triple-threat two-way stud!! But Miles is a mid-range master who rarely misses, using his size and length as a weapon to elevate over most defenders with ease. Miles is a rim-protecting defensive gem who enjoys inviting opponents to his block party. Miles also possesses the speed to defend even small players on the perimeter. And naturally, Miles is a beast on the boards. Miles loves to get out and run in transition and on the defensive end too. With a high motor, no one outworks Miles on either end of the court.
This past season, Miles averaged 5.3 points, 5 rebounds, 1 block, and 1.5 assists per game. The most motivating thing that happened last season that will push Miles moving forward for school ball was losing to Durand and ending their season, knowing they should have won that game. The most motivating thing that happened in the AAU season was losing our first game in the UA Finals. That was a game nobody thought they would lose. These hard losses are the strongest motivation to put in the necessary work to avoid a repeat this coming season and AAU session. Miles' goals going into his sophomore season are to score above 20 points per game, grab at least 10 boards a game, and be the best teammate he can be. Over the summer Miles gave us a taste of how much his skills have evolved and grown playing against some of the best talent in the country on a loaded team.
Playing AAU for the Wisconsin Playmakers Miles' team goal for the 25 session is to win the Prelude League for their class. Miles' personal goal would be to put up 10 rebounds and 10 points per game. Miles wants to be more aggressive in scoring and take opportunities when they present themselves.
When Miles is on the court, what fuels him the most is losing. Miles hates losing in general, but when it's against a team they shouldn't be losing too. Miles gets fueled up the most.
When Miles has an off-game or something doesn't go his way, he just thinks about the future. Miles can't control if his shots fall or if a ref doesn't call fouls, so it's best not to think about it too much.
Something that sets Miles apart from other players is his hustle. Every player can score and all of that, but hustle matters most to Miles. Miles is always the first player down the court on offense and defense.
Miles wants to play at a D1 school, but he realizes that is a rare opportunity and would consider lower divisions. It would come down to what the best fit for him is.
I assess that Miles is yet another rising star with an extremely high ceiling that continues to elevate his game. That blue-collar mentality, matched with size and effectiveness with the lethal midrange game and continued development and evolution of the potential to expand the three-level scoring ability, will set the stage for a super bright future. This young star possesses that competitive edge and winner mentality that fuels a fire you can't teach. Get this young stud locked in on your radar now; Miles hasn't scratched the surface of just how talented he will be as a rare, skilled big.
