Pierson is an explosive, dynamic, and relentless stud who plays with fire on both ends of the floor. With a deep shooting range, high-IQ playmaking, and aggressive defense, he thrives in an up-tempo system, attacking with creativity and confidence. Whether he’s threading the needle with pinpoint passes, locking in defensively, or drilling clutch threes, Pierson plays with an edge that sets him apart.
This past season, Pierson averaged 9.2 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists per game while leading his team in three-point shooting (38%) and free throws (81%). He knocked down 37 threes in 19 games and proved he can take over, posting a breakout 30-point, 10-rebound, 5-assist performance. His biggest leap came in his shot mentality and court awareness, making him more efficient and dangerous every time he touched the ball.
With his sights set on the offseason, Pierson is attacking his weaknesses head-on. He’s working on ball handling, finishing through contact, and breaking down defenders. He's already a lethal shooter and determined to become just as dominant at the rim. This summer, he’ll showcase his game with Midwest Basketball Club in the Adidas GOLD Circuit, competing against elite talent and proving he belongs at the next level.
Pierson’s biggest goal for AAU is to be the guy his team can count on. He’s gearing up for high-profile tournaments, including 3 Stripes Gold Sessions, Bill Hensley’s Run N’ Slam, and Prep Hoops Nationals. The mission is clear—stand out, dominate, and leave no doubt when the lights are brightest.
What fuels Pierson is competition. He thrives in high-energy moments, locking down on defense, turning steals into fast breaks, and burying big shots. He plays with passion and embraces the fire of the game. But when adversity hits, he keeps his focus locked in. His mindset is “The next shot is going in,” or “We’re about to make a run.” That confidence keeps him sharp and fuels his ability to take over.
The best advice Pierson has ever received came from his father: “Next Play Mentality.” Whether he makes a mistake or hits a big shot, it’s already in the past. Move on and attack what’s next. That lesson has shaped him into a smarter, tougher, and more complete player.
I assess that with his skill set, work ethic, and fearless approach, Pierson has all the tools to be an impact backcourt player at the next level. His game is still rising, and as he continues to develop his finishing ability and physicality, he’ll be a nightmare for defenders. Expect his scoring to jump next season, and don’t be surprised if DI programs start taking serious notice.
Above all, Pierson is grateful for those who have helped him get to this point. From his dad, who has guided him with wisdom, to those who provide exposure for players, he appreciates every opportunity. The work is far from done, but with his mindset, passion, and determination, the best is yet to come.
