Luke Walls
6’1, 220lbs, c/o 28
Westside High School , WV
Luke is a physical two-way stud that makes his presence known on both sides of the ball. Offensively he loves cooking up pancakes, opening up running lanes, and is a master of protecting his QB. Defensively he loves making physical big hits and tackles, even on that side of the ball Luke serves up pancakes, so bring the syrup.
Last season in middle school Luke had 65 tackles and helped his team to a 7-2 record. So far this season in 3 JV games Luke has 4 sacks, 6 pancakes, and 2 fumble recoveries. On varsity in only 3 Qrts Luke has 5 tackles for loss. With 0 missed blocks on either! On this stacked team, Luke is already making noise.
The biggest improvement from last season for Luke is getting the best record the school has seen in a while. Every time he takes the field the coach should expect him to do his best. From last season Luke feels like he is a better player all around from middle school to high school. Luke admits it was hard at first but it’s not too hard to get used to the differences between JV and varsity. Luke feels like he has the same gameplay in both just going out there and playing hard for his team and coaches. For the rest of the season expect Luke to keep doing what he does best with determination and confidence. Next season we can look forward to him being a starting varsity player.
A coach can expect Luke to give 110% all the time. He thinks he could be a huge difference on any offensive line because he is a quick lineman and sure proven blocker and pancake maker.
Luke isn't focusing on college right now. He just wants to continue to put in the work pushing himself to be the best can be. He is hungry to learn and develop while getting better every single day.
I assess that Luke is going to be a monster in the years to come. There is a star rising that you all need to keep a close eye on moving forward. For a lineman to get any varsity time as a freshman that is special. His versatility to play two ways effectively this early is promising. The potential in Luke's game is insane. Stay tuned.
