Defensive Dynamo with a Three Point Precision

Writer: Kevin MosesKevin Moses

Eli Pendleton @_ Elijah5 , 6'3 , 175 c/o 25 from Teasy's Valley Christian School, WV is an electric athlete who utilizes his size, speed and strength to be an imposing force out there.  Fli can really bring the rain from outside with a smooth touch .  With a lightning quick first step Eli is explosive off the bounce and can get to the rim at will. . Eli thrives playing under pressure. The bigger the game the more Eli shines bright. . The best part for his coach is Eli takes great pride in his defense and rises to the challenge to defend the best  using his size and strength to his advantage. Eli mixes it up well on the boards. And ranks among the best on the team among every stat in the books. He brings  it every night.

In the AAU session Eli played only a few games with WV Infinity Elite with his biggest accomplishment  was getting his first in-game dunk and averaging a double-double in three tournamentsLast season Eli averaged 11 points per game.. The biggest improvement from last season is the improvement of his confidence. and with that confidence he found his zone and elevated every area of his game , especially that defensive swagger and developed even more fire and passion to excel in that area the most.  . Knowing exactly who he is out there and what he can do helped him become a true leader and helped him influence others as they gained respect for him through the example he set  through  performance. earning the trust of his teammates and everyone around him. Feeling good in his own skid . Eli's goals for this season are to earn All- Conference and All-State awards  while setting the stage for a next level opportunity.  while winning the ultimate prize twinning the WVCAT Tournament. So far this season Eli is averaging 15.9 points, 1.8 assists, 5 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 1 block per game.

What separates Eli from others is his work ethic as he is always hungry and looking for ways to improve his game. Coachable .  His leadership  on and off the court gives Eli a certain edge that can't be taught.  letting his life and performance be the example for others who want to follow. . Eli is an easy D2 talent and can possibly be a low -level D1 with locked in focus and determination coupled with hard work.  . But in his heart Eli just wants to play college ball despite the division level  and will be grateful for wherever God will take him..
