Cole has given his offense a dynamic leader with the arm to make every throw and the confidence to take a shot when his playmakers have room to work. Through the ups and downs of this season, he has thrown for 1,338 yards and 12 touchdowns while completing 66.5 percent of his passes. He's added 200 yards and 3 scores on the ground, giving defenses another problem when a play opens up for him to run. Those numbers show his versatility, but the way he's stayed with his team through a difficult stretch says just as much about the quarterback behind them.

The offense has found its spark by getting the ball to its playmakers and trusting them to make something happen. Cole has embraced the shots downfield, believing in the plan from his coaches and offensive coordinator while giving his teammates chances to show what they can do. He can put the ball where it needs to go, and his willingness to keep attacking gives the offense an electric feel when those connections start clicking. Even when the season got tough after a strong start, the team stayed together, and Cole kept building confidence as he worked through what defenses were showing him.

That growth shows up in the moments when the game asks him to make a smart choice quickly. Cole points to his situational play as his biggest improvement, knowing when to push for a big play and when the offense needs him to take what's there. He takes pride in his accuracy and in wins that people didn't expect his team to get. Each of those moments has strengthened his belief in himself and in the teammates who have fought beside him.

Cole didn't have a starting spot handed to him. After changing schools, he had to fight for the job while feeling overlooked by coaches, and he answered by earning his place and thriving in it. That experience helped shape the fierce resolve he brings when a defense brings heat or a game starts going the wrong way. A coach can count on a leader who listens, responds to coaching, and refuses to quit when things get hard.

The work supporting his play goes well beyond game day. Cole spent the offseason sharpening his technique and studying defenses, and he continues to get into the film every day. He also trains twice a week with Coach Chip and Coach CJ, focusing on the details that help him play with purpose on the field. Before the snap, he checks whether the middle of the field is open or closed, studies the safeties, then looks at defenders’ depth, eyes, and leverage before checking the box. That preparation helps him see where a play might go and gives him a clear plan before the ball is in his hands.

His parents, coaches, and everyone who has supported him from day one give that work a deeper meaning. Whether they are in the stands or on the sideline, Cole knows they are with him, and he wants his play to reflect that support. As the season continues, he has the arm, mobility, and belief to keep leading his team through whatever comes next.

I assess that Cole’s command stands out when he settles into a possession and keeps the offense moving with good decisions. He has a strong feel for when a throw needs touch and when it needs zip, giving him a useful mix of control and power that can challenge coverage in several ways.

His best football comes when he stays poised as the pocket changes and keeps his focus on the finish of the play. The competitive edge he brings to those moments gives him a strong foundation to build on as he continues developing his timing with every target. Stay tuned.
