Jerome brings a fierce presence to the court with a game that goes far beyond scoring. He can battle for rebounds, defend, hit a shot, and finish strong at the rim, giving his team several ways to lean on him. What makes Jerome stand out is how much he wants to add to those strengths. He's sharpening his guard skills so he can handle the ball with more confidence and help his team in whatever role a game demands.

His summer with the Houston Hurricanes gave everyone a strong look at that versatility. Jerome averaged 15 points and 11 rebounds per game, bringing a steady impact on both ends of the floor. When he put up 25 points and 23 rebounds in one game, he showed just how powerful his game can be when he stays aggressive. He attacked the boards, trusted his work, and made his presence felt possession after possession. That performance stayed with him because it showed what he can do when he plays freely and believes in himself.

Jerome sees confidence and consistency as the biggest changes in his game since last season. He's learned to trust what he brings instead of letting the desire to prove himself weigh on every play. That shift lets him focus on winning plays, whether he's finishing a chance himself, making a defensive stand, or giving his team another possession. He takes pride in his progress and still sees plenty of room to expand his game as his senior season approaches.

The road to this point has tested him in ways a stat line can't show. Jerome went through an ACL injury and the long rehabilitation that followed, spending time away from the game he loves. He leaned on prayer, patience, and disciplined work to get through that stretch. He's also had to fight for playing time and show what he can do once he gets on the court. Those experiences strengthened his resolve and deepened his appreciation for every chance to compete.

Jerome has put serious work into preparing for the season ahead. His offseason has included strength and conditioning, plyometrics, ball handling, shooting, defensive footwork, and mobility work. He wants the athleticism to make explosive plays and the skill to answer whatever his team asks of him. There's no crowd watching those workouts, but that's where he builds the habits that let him stay ready when a game gets intense. He understands that a full season asks a lot from both body and mind, and he is preparing for both.

His passing and court vision deserve more attention, too. Jerome can spot a teammate and move the ball to the right place, giving the offense another way to benefit from his presence. He wants coaches to see the decision-making behind his game, along with the scoring and rebounding that catch the eye first. As his handles grows, that ability to see the floor gives him an even stronger way to connect with teammates and make the offense flow.

A coach can expect toughness, a willingness to listen, and a player who will compete for his team every time he steps on the court. Jerome wants to help lead his team through a strong senior season and earn the chance to play college basketball. His faith and family keep that dream close, especially when the work gets hard. After everything he has faced, he wants his play to show the growth, gratitude, and fire that have brought him this far.

Jerome’s strength on the boards gives him a way to change the energy of a possession with his timing and determination. Continuing to turn those hard-earned rebounds into quick scoring chances can make his interior impact even more powerful.

His developing perimeter game brings plenty of promise because he already wants the ball in his hands and sees where teammates are moving. Adding more comfort attacking off the bounce will give Jerome another way to use that vision and put his full range of skills to work.
