Jayden is a complete backcourt leader with a smooth jumper, fearless mindset, and a two-way motor that coaches dream of. He is a sniper from deep and a fierce midrange threat, but Jayden is more than just a scorer; he’s a playmaker with vision, a creator for others, and a gritty competitor who never takes a possession off. He’s a high-IQ guard who thrives on making the right play, reading defenses, and getting his teammates involved while still having the green light to hit big shots. His commitment to the defensive end sets him apart as he takes pride in guarding the opposing team’s top player and thrives on the challenge. Jayden brings effort, leadership, and toughness every time his feet hit the floor.
This past season, he averaged 16.5 points, 3.1 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 2 steals per game while shooting an impressive 49.5% from the field, 39% from three, and 83.9% at the line. Those numbers mark a major improvement from his freshman year, proof of the confidence he’s gained and the work he’s put in. Making All-State Second Team as a sophomore was a milestone moment, but he’s not close to being satisfied. His offseason focus is all about explosion and range, developing his vertical to become a consistent finisher above the rim and extending his shooting range to become even more of a deep threat. With that mindset, his game continues to evolve in every area.
Jayden played AAU with the Alaska Wildcats, playing for both the 16U and 17U squads, and brought home championships in both divisions at the Las Vegas Main Event. That was his goal, and he made it happen. Next season, he’s focused on redemption. After falling short in the regional championship and missing the state tournament, he’s coming back with hunger and fire to lead his team where they belong, and make a statement doing it.
What fuels him on the court is energy, his own and his teammates’. Whether it’s taking a charge or knocking down that first shot, he feeds off momentum and brings intensity from the jump. When facing adversity, he stays composed, listens to his coach, and refuses to let the moment rattle him. He understands how to impact the game even when the shot’s not falling, locking in on defense, hustling for loose balls, and doing the little things that swing games. That mentality has helped him grow into a leader and a steady presence for his squad.
Off the court, Jayden enjoys working out, spending time with family and friends, and staying active in ways that keep him mentally and physically sharp.
I assess that Jayden’s shooting numbers already speak volumes, but his real value lies in his versatility. He can run the show, space the floor, shut down opposing guards, and do the little things that win championships. His ability to compete on both ends gives him a plug-and-play skillset for any system.
Jayden’s moving in the right direction. He’s taken a huge leap between freshman and sophomore year, and with his offseason focus and drive, there’s more coming. Expect him to make noise across Alaska and beyond. With his fire, feel, and two-way game, Jayden is just getting started. Stay tuned for a breakout season ahead.
