But don’t be fooled, he’s not just muscle in the paint. Malik can step outside, create off the wing, and knock down pull-up threes with confidence. He embraces contact, plays with unshakable grit, and commands the glass on both ends. Whether he's bulldozing defenders under the rim or extending possessions with second-chance boards, Malik brings impact in every facet of the game.

During his sophomore campaign, Malik averaged 6.6 points and 8.1 rebounds per game but the numbers only scratch the surface of his influence. His biggest improvement was learning to play fundamentally and confidently at his own pace, turning hustle into a trademark and becoming a difference-maker through sheer effort and will. This offseason, he's focused on tightening his handles and becoming more explosive around the rim. With J.A.Y Academy 16U on the Adidas Circuit, Malik is going focused on gaining exposure, earn offers, and improving his game. Next season, he has his eyes set on a state championship run and making a healthy, dominant impact from start to finish. Every time he steps on the court, he brings a warrior’s mentality. driven by passion, fueled by purpose, and committed to domination.

But Malik’s foundation is built on far more than basketball. His relationship with Jesus Christ fuels everything he does. He holds a deep love for God’s Word and a powerful connection to his faith. Malik knows exactly where his strength comes from, and he gives high praise to the One who guides his steps. Jesus is more than a part of his life; He is the reason Malik strives for excellence in everything, from the court to the classroom. That unwavering belief pushes him through adversity, grounds him in humility, and gives him clarity on who he is and what he stands for.

Off the court, Malik is a 3.5 GPA student who respects his teachers and values every lesson learned, academic and spiritual alike. He enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, watching film, and pouring into the Bible for wisdom and inspiration.
