Ryder doesn’t need the spotlight to take over a game. He is the kind of player you feel before you fully notice, then by the time you realize it, he’s already impacted everything. A fearless two-way force, Ryder punishes defenders with three-level scoring, brings tenacious defense every possession, and plays with a high IQ that keeps everything connected. He is team-driven to the core, doing whatever it takes to win, whether that shows up in points, stops, hustle plays, or leadership that keeps everyone locked in. Add in his dazzling passing and willingness to mix it up on the boards, and you get a player who fills every gap a team needs to win at the highest level.
What Ryder brought to this championship run wasn’t just skill, it was toughness and fight. The kind that doesn’t fade when things get hard. That edge was built daily, pushed and sharpened by Coach Cook and a team that competed nonstop. Practices weren’t just reps, they were battles. Long hours, constant intensity, and a group that refused to back down from each other built something deeper than talent. It built trust. That trust showed up when it mattered most.
This team didn’t care who scored 25. They knew everyone could. That’s what made them dangerous. Ryder embraced that fully, never chasing numbers, always chasing wins. His role was about keeping the group steady, bringing energy, leading with his voice and his actions, and being the best teammate he could be. He brought his personality to the floor, confidence, edge, belief, and it helped fuel a team that stayed connected through every moment.
Every postseason game came with one mindset, win every possession. Not quarters, not halves, every single possession. That focus separated them. Ryder stepped into each game understanding what was at stake and responded by making winning plays. Whether it was locking in defensively, making the extra pass, hitting a big shot, or crashing the boards, he found ways to impact the game without forcing anything.
Behind the scenes, the grind was real. Running, long practices, nonstop competition, and a group that pushed each other every single day. That work built confidence. So when the pressure hit, Ryder stayed composed. He trusted the work, trusted his teammates, and trusted that if they played their game, everything would fall into place.
Fighting through that bracket meant everything. Every win brought them closer, every challenge made them stronger, and every moment tested what they were made of. Ryder played for more than himself. He played for his brothers. He played to win, just as much for them as for himself. That selfless mindset carried them all the way to the championship.
Even in the biggest moment, with everything on the line and overtime intensity at its peak, Ryder stayed locked in. It didn’t matter the situation, he stayed true to who he is. Doing whatever it takes. Staying composed. Supporting his team. Making sure everyone stayed grounded and focused.
What separated this team was simple but powerful. They defended. Every possession, every player, no breaks. And offensively, anyone could step up and get a bucket. Ryder even pointed to Amari stepping up and playing his best basketball when it mattered most, a perfect example of what this team was about. Connected, confident, and relentless.
This experience means everything, but it’s not the end. Ryder sees it as fuel. He is grateful for where he’s been placed and the success he’s been blessed with, but he’s not done. Not even close. With two years left, the goal is to do it again and then do it again. Chase more championships. Compete at the highest level on the 3SSB circuit. Earn those dream offers. And most importantly, represent Jesus Christ in everything he does, using his platform to bring others to Him.
At the core of it all is faith and family. Ryder knows where his strength comes from. He believes with Jesus anything is possible, and that belief shapes how he plays, how he leads, and how he lives. That foundation keeps him grounded while pushing him forward.
Moving into AAU, expect the same fire. The same toughness. The same willingness to do whatever it takes to win. A player who doesn’t follow the crowd, stays in his lane, and builds his own path.
I assess that Ryder is a complete competitor who impacts the game on both ends with toughness, awareness, and versatility. His ability to score at all levels, defend with intensity, and elevate teammates through unselfish play makes him a valuable piece in any system. His mindset and leadership bring stability and edge to a team.
Looking ahead, Ryder has the potential to grow into a high-level two-way player who thrives in winning environments. As he continues to expand his game and build on his foundation, his impact will only increase. Expect him to keep stacking success, drawing attention, and proving that his value goes far beyond the stat sheet. He is must-see TV. Stay tuned.
