Hudson is a tough, skilled guard-forward hybrid with the size, strength, and a lethal shooting touch to make an immediate impact, just like he did as a varsity starter his entire freshman year. With his size he was built to battle, Hudson brings a powerful blend of scoring polish and physical presence. He’s a consistent knockdown shooter with range, a fearless finisher through contact, and a relentless rebounder who does the little things to help his team win. Add in a rock-solid work ethic and the kind of hustle that never takes a play off, and you’ve got a player who plays every game with purpose. Hudson separates himself with how hard he works on both ends, and he’s just getting started.
After averaging 11 points per game on 40% shooting from deep and a blistering 88% from the free-throw line, Hudson proved that he’s not just ready for the varsity spotlight, he’s built for it. His biggest improvement this season came in his ability to finish strong through contact and knock down shots with consistency, even under pressure. Now, his focus this offseason is all about developing more quickness, adding strength, locking in defensively, and pushing his overall athleticism to the next level. Playing with HB Elite, Hudson is chasing wins and exposure, looking to stand out at events like the Indiana Run N Slam and Rumble in the Rapids.
As he looks ahead, the spotlight only grows brighter. Hudson’s fired up for rivalry battles against West High and is hungry to lead Traverse City Central on a deep playoff push. What fuels him most is the chance to show how hard he’s worked and the opportunity to step on the floor and prove himself in every moment. When facing adversity, Hudson keeps his focus forward, learning from every mistake and locking into what’s next. The best advice he’s ever received is, "Focus on the things you can control, your effort, your defense, your hustle." And he lives that out every time he laces up.
I assess that Hudson’s combination of shooting efficiency, finishing strength, and rebounding hustle makes him a force at both ends of the floor. His mentality and maturity already stand out, and as he continues to add quickness and explosiveness, his impact will only multiply. He’s the kind of player a program can trust to do the dirty work and still be a scoring threat every night.
With a full varsity season under his belt and a tireless drive to improve, Hudson is on the path to becoming one of the top players in his class. His foundation is strong, his goals are clear, and his growth is undeniable. Expect a breakout sophomore season and a whole lot more after that. Get on this train now and remember the name, its just beginning to take off. Stay tuned.
