Nate is an explosive, skilled, and relentlessly versatile threat who checks every box a coach could ask for. A true three-level scorer with a high-powered jumper, he also rebounds exceptionally well from the wing, defends 1 through 4 with grit, and plays with poise and control on both ends of the court. His strong frame allows him to finish through contact, hold position on switches, and body up against bigs. His IQ shows in his timing, whether it’s flying into passing lanes, knowing when to pull the trigger, or making defenders bite so he can attack downhill. He punishes defenders who play off him with a silky rainmaker from deep, then punishes those who crowd him with a blow-by or a post-up fade. He’s a menace in transition, efficient in the half-court, and vocal in moments that matter. Nate turns defense into offense, thrives on physicality, and refuses to give up on any possession. He’s a complete weapon, inside, outside, on-ball, off-ball, defensively, and as a tone-setting leader. He doesn’t wait for the game to come to him; he controls it.

This past season, he averaged 18.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game lighting up the state leaderboard leading Wyoming in three-point percentage at a blistering 49%, free throw percentage (84%), and finished second in scoring while posting an impressive 62% from inside the arc. That kind of efficiency didn’t happen overnight. He transformed his game from sophomore to junior year by improving in his footwork, shooting mechanics, and shot selection. He became a nightmare to defend. If a team played him tight, he created space with strong angles off the bounce. If they switched a smaller guard on him, he punished them inside. Nate’s not about volume but impact. Every shot he takes is one he’s prepared for. Every move is earned through sweat in the gym.

This offseason, his work hasn’t slowed down. Nate committed to a summer packed with elite camps and showcases, from the Colorado Live Showcase to his second invite to the Black Hills State Elite Camp. He’s been locked in on improving his lateral quickness, ball-handling, and shot versatility, elevating his game with purpose. Whether it’s attacking at sharper angles, shooting off the jab with quicker release, or adding strength in the weight room, he’s pushing every area forward. He’s also doing plyometrics and speed training to boost his athleticism even more. That combination of size, skill, and discipline is what’s putting him on the radar of college programs that are finally taking notice of what Wyoming hoops really brings to the table.

Defensively, he’s improved in a major way. Once limited to guarding similar-size wings, Nate can now take on shifty guards or bang with the bigs. That versatility has changed his identity. He’s no longer just a shooter but a two-way enforcer who can shift the energy of a game by winning 50/50 balls, forcing bad passes, or fueling the break with a rebound. He’s a problem no matter where he is on the floor. And when the game gets tight, that’s when he comes alive. “I want the other team to have no answer for me,” he said. And it shows. He finds ways to score, lead, and dictate pace in crunch time.

His junior season was packed with highlights, but helping Sheridan win Regionals, earn a #1 seed at State, and finish with the second-best record in school history stands above the rest. The loss at State only fueled him more. Now, with four starters returning and a talented young core behind them, Nate’s goal is nothing less than a championship. He’s already visualized it. Now he’s working to make it real.

When facing adversity, Nate responds like a pro. After a bad game, he showers, talks it through with his parents, and heads back to the gym. Sometimes it’s postgame shots, sometimes it’s early morning reps, but the bounce-back is always there. He doesn’t dwell but works. That mindset, that resilience, is what sets him apart.

His foundation was built at home. The best coaching advice he ever received came from his dad, his training partner and greatest influence. “He always told me the best players create a threat in every aspect of the game,” Nate shared. “Defend, rebound, win 50/50 balls, sprint the floor, finish strong, shoot what you’ve worked on, and lead vocally. Force the other team to adjust to you.” That fuels everything Nate does.

Born in Las Vegas and raised in Wyoming since the age of five, Nate carries a quiet pride in representing a state that often gets overlooked. “I know people don’t think of basketball when they hear Wyoming,” he said. “But I love proving that wrong. We fly under the radar, but they won’t forget us after we step on the court.”

Off the floor, he loves fly fishing in the Bighorns, spending time with family and friends, and staying connected to the things that keep him balanced. He’s humble, mature, and focused, but the moment the ball’s in play, he flips the switch.

I assess that Nate is the type of player who makes a program tougher, smarter, and more dangerous. His ability to shoot the lights out, guard multiple positions, rebound with intensity, and bring vocal leadership make him a natural fit at the next level. He’s coachable, self-driven, and thrives in the gray areas where games are won.

With continued development in his handles and pace, Nate’s going to explode during his senior season. He’s already proven he can dominate statistically and lead a team, but what’s coming next is a more complete, more dangerous version of an already elite player. Colleges that take the time to look closely will find a skilled, gritty, and game-ready difference-maker who’s just getting started. Stay tuned for this hungry young star playing with passion, purpose, and determination to get that chip. It will be must-see TV. If y'all didn't know there was ite talent in Wyoming, I'm here to tell you, there is.
