Jaxon is a dangerous scoring threat with unlimited range and the ability to light up a scoreboard in a hurry. With a smooth touch from outside and confidence attacking off the bounce, he is built to punish defenses at all three levels. His length makes him a versatile defender who can disrupt plays on the perimeter, and his instincts allow him to create transition opportunities with ease. Beyond the scoring, he brings energy on both ends of the floor, making an impact in every possession.
During his middle school career, Jaxon scored over 1,500 career points while averaging 18 per game in his 8th-grade season. He rained in 58 three-pointers that year alone, proving himself as a lethal perimeter weapon. He added 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals, and a block per game, showing his all-around impact. That defensive edge, especially his 3 steals per game, makes him more than just a scorer. Entering Floyd Central, Jaxon is preparing for the jump to the high school level by improving his ball-handling and ability to play under heavy defensive pressure.
This offseason, Jaxon has focused on playmaking and handling the ball under duress. He credits his improvement to his confidence against pressure, which allows him to create looks for teammates and himself. The arrival of a new head coach has also been huge, as the belief and push from the coaching staff drive him to evolve into the best version of himself.
Coaches can count on Jaxon to space the floor as a knockdown shooter while using his length to guard the perimeter. His ability to score in bunches was on display when he heated up from deep, raining threes in consecutive possessions and changing the momentum of games. His competitive edge carried into AAU play, where he set out to prove he could compete with top talent across Kentucky, gaining valuable experience against strong competition.
What fires Jaxon up most is the flow of the game, splashing multiple threes, creating defensive stops, and fueling team energy. He handles adversity with patience, choosing not to force plays but to let the game come naturally. The best advice he’s ever received is, “Hard work beats talent every time, and always worry about the next play.” he plays with composure and relentless effort. Off the court, Jaxon balances basketball with baseball at a high level, proving his athletic versatility.
I assess the Jaxon’s elite shooting ability along with his length and defensive instincts make him a true two-way weapon. He has the scoring firepower to stretch defenses from deep, while his quick hands and anticipation create game-changing plays on the defensive end. His ability to stuff the stat sheet shows how he can impact a program in multiple ways, far beyond scoring alone.
As he transitions to high school basketball, expect Jaxon to rise as a lethal scorer with the potential of a complete guard. With continued development as a playmaker and added strength, his game is set to elevate quickly. His shooting, length, and defensive activity give him the tools to be a standout at Floyd Central and a name to watch in Kentucky’s 2029 class. Stay tuned to see how high he flies.
