Collin brings length, speed, and a fierce defensive attitude that instantly changes a possession. His energy pops off the floor. His long arms bother ball handlers. His footwork takes away space before opponents realize it. And the motor he plays with is built for a guard who wants to make his name on toughness. He is the true definition of a rising two-way force built on disruption, effort, and hunger, shaping a foundation that sets him apart from most freshmen in his class.
Through two JV games this season, Collin has already stamped his presence. Across those matchups, he totaled 24 points, 4 steals, 7 defensive rebounds, 1 offensive rebound, 3 assists, and 2 blocked shots, showing the kind of versatility that impacts every part of the game. He competes every second he’s on the floor, pressures the ball without hesitation, rotates instinctively, and embraces the gritty work that most players overlook. His growth shows in how he carries himself. He has challenged himself mentally, pushed past his comfort zone, and learned how to stay steady when the game tightens.
Strength is his main focus moving forward because he knows how much it will elevate his drives, finishes, screens, and on-ball pressure. His time on the UA Future Circuit accelerated that mindset. Battling strong competition helped him see exactly what he needed to sharpen and lit a fire under him to return sharper and more confident. That experience built the hunger he brings into this season.
He’s especially excited for the Campbell County matchup, a rivalry overflowing with intensity and emotion that fits how he plays. Coaches can count on Collin to bring full effort every time he steps onto the court. He talks, he hustles, he defends, he creates, and he does every job asked of him with pride. Few things fire him up more than when a defensive stop turns into momentum, especially when it flips the game.
When facing adversity, Collin resets quickly, breathes, focuses on the next play, and maintains the calm edge that keeps him effective. The best coaching advice he has ever received is, "Control effort, attitude, and energy". Those traits shape who he is as a player and show up in how he competes.
Once school ball wraps up, he will play for the Midwest Basketball Club on the 2029 Midwest Gold team, ready to battle strong opponents, compete in front of college coaches, and continue building the habits that shape long-term success. Off the court, he stays a student of the game, watching high school and college matchups to learn and grow.
I assess that Collin’s defensive engine gives him an instant edge for the college level because he disrupts possessions with effort alone. His length, activity, and on-ball pressure blend with his willingness to rebound and communicate, giving a coach a guard who raises the team’s toughness the moment he checks in. His unselfish approach, combined with his natural instincts, makes him a strong fit for systems built on energy and discipline.
As Collin grows stronger and more confident running the point, his game is set to rise. He is evolving into a versatile guard who can defend multiple spots, push pace, and bring a competitive spark that never dips. With continued work on decision-making and strength, he has every chance to develop into a guard who thrives in high-level environments and becomes a name that keeps rising year after year. Stay tuned.
