Eli Ramsey @EliRamsey08, 5’10, 140, c/o 27 from North Marion High School, WV is a dynamic athlete who is a lethal shooter who can catch fire in a hurry and knock down shots while shooting at a high percentage. But Eli is anything but one-dimensional as he is a great facilitator and teammate. Eli has a high IQ and sees the whole court which allows him to excel at making game-winning decisions. Eli has all the intangibles and is a lockdown defender. Eli's greatest strengths are getting to the basket for fierce finishes or creating opportunities for his teammates by forcing the defense to collapse on him as he gets to the rim. Eli is a natural-born leader and his skills continue to develop. Add to all this his energy and hustle that fuels his team and Eli is the total package who just loves to play, feeling blessed with God-given ability and focused on putting in the work to be his best and help his team be its best.
Playing AAU for Wildcat Select Gold Gauntlet and Team Wildcat - Hendrick. Eli's goals/ areas of improvement will be scoring ability, midrange game, and leadership skills. The goals for next season for Eli are to start varsity, win sectionals and regionals, compete at states, and have a successful year on both sides of the ball.
What fuels Eli the most on the court is the competition and being the best version of himself When facing adversity Eli feels like he handles it well by focusing his energy and communicating with his teammates.
What a coach expects is that Eli will help the team win. He will play hard on defense, and rebound, he will be a great leader, and will always be very coachable. Eli hopes to play D1 or D2. My assessment is Eli has a tremendously high ceiling and plenty of room to grow into the ultimate impact player on any level if he continues to maintain his intense work ethic on and off the court and elevate all the nice skills he possesses. Can't teach heart and passion to succeed and Eli has a ton of both. This rising young star is already starting to make some noise and a name for himself, so stay tuned as this train is just taking off and it could very well be a ride we will all want to remember.
