Carter Parson @Real_CP1 , 6ft, 155, c/o 26 from Betsy Layne High School ,KY is an explosive young talent with a high IQ great court vision.Carter plays with fire and passion to excel at what he does on the floor. The perfect general that loves to get out in transition and lead his team to easy baskets. Attacking the rim with blow by speed and athleticism is something to see from Carter consistently. But he is a knockdown shooter from outside, a pure shooter. Delivering some dazzling passes on the move makes Carter a real problem as he keeps the defense guessing. Carter is a natural born leader who loves to fuel his team and get them rolling and absolutely loves playing on the big stage with loud crowds and in intense battles . When it's a big game with a lot on the line , that's when Carter excels the most. Carter is a great teammate.
This past season Carter averaged 13.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 2.3 steals while shooting 38% from downtown. Carter's performance brought his first collegiate offer at the end of the season. Carter has been playing for Vision Elite since 7th grade . Coming into this AAU session Carter's goals are to average 15+ points, 5+ assists, 5+ rebounds , and 3+ assists. Also looking to get better on the defensive end and become a more vocal leader. Carter wants to help his team win The Prelude 32(New Balance Circuit) in the inaugural year and pick up a few more offers along the way. I'd say Carter is off to a great start as I have watched him impact this team two weeks in a row. This week he was dazzling yet again in the Midwest Mania powered by @madehoops with some incredible shots and passes. I couldn't believe how fast Carter is off the bounce and fearless attacking the rim and loves delivering big time threes in the tight game i saw right down to the final minute.
A motivating point for Carter in the AAU session losing some games at the 3SGB showcase and tournament were definitely winnable. Then in the postseason losing in the first round of the district and the region. Losing didn't sit well with a kid as hungry to compete and win as arter. So this year there is even more passion to win than ever .. What fuels Carter's fire the most personally when people come at him on the court and challenge him. Because of the pride he takes in his game, at that point it becomes personal as he always strives to be the best player on the court at all times. Even when facing adversity on the court when things aren't going his way, he finds a way to get his teammates involved, understanding if he isn't hitting shots or having an off game , it's his responsibility to create for them.
Coaches should know with Carter there will be leadership, a high IQ, hard work and dedication. He can be trusted that when things go wrong on the court, he will take action and control the game in a productive way that rectifies the problem. In clutch moments Carter wants the ball in his hands to make game winning plays by making the right decisions every time. . They can know he will be in the gym every single day pushing himself to get better because of his dedication and love for the game. The most amazing thing about Carter is he could care less about what division level he will play but understanding just playing the next level on any level matters most. Just the right fit matters most. In my assessment Carter is a low level D1 without a doubt with plenty of room to grow in skill and natural abilities. . Staying dedicated to improving and putting in work in the weight room and classroom the sky's the limit for this young star. Yall gotta see Carter and this team .
