Luke is a versatile big with a high motor and the kind of dynamic game that makes him a nightmare to defend. He brings size, strength, and skill with a three-level scoring package that stretches the floor and punishes mismatches. He’s a confident shooter with a silky rainmaker from deep, a strong midrange presence, and a bag of crafty post moves he uses to carve up defenders on the block. His footwork, timing, and high basketball IQ let him pick his spots with poise, while his relentless energy makes him a constant threat on the boards and around the rim. Defensively, he’s just as versatile, able to protect the rim with authority, disrupt shots in the paint, and switch out to effectively guard all five positions. That complete two-way presence makes him a game-changer on a loaded team that battles top-tier competition across Tennessee, and Luke rises to meet that challenge every time.
This past high school season, Luke averaged 8.8 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game while playing primarily the 5. He saw major improvement in both scoring and rebounding, increasing his point total by more than 4 per game and his rebounding by over 3 boards. But it was his mindset shift that elevated everything. In key matchups, like his 18-point, 20-rebound, 4-block breakout against Maryville, he realized his ability to dominate. His fourth-quarter takeover against rival Bearden was another defining moment, where he pinned a shot off the glass and scored 10 straight points to lead a late surge. After having such a huge impact against high-ranked teams in the state, Luke's confidence is soaring, understanding how high his ceiling is. This offseason, Luke is locked in on developing his ball-handling, agility, and strength to round out his game. With Tennessee Impact 2027, he averages 12.1 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks per game, meeting his goal of becoming a true shot-blocking force and coming just shy of a double-double. At big-time events like Midwest Mania and the Adidas Memorial Day Classic, he rose to the challenge, playing his best basketball against elite competition and shooting the lights out.
Heading into the upcoming season at Farragut, Luke is locked in on proving his growth. He’s looking forward to more freedom, more floor time, and more responsibility, and he’s earned it. He thrives in high-level matchups and uses every opportunity to compete, learn, and show that he’s more than meets the eye. He loves being under the radar and catching people off guard with his evolving game.
When facing adversity, Luke draws from the game itself. His love for basketball keeps him grounded, motivated, and ready to contribute in any way, whether it’s scoring, crashing the glass, taking charges, or doing the dirty work that wins games. The best advice he’s ever received came from his father, a former D3 player, who helped him create a structured pregame routine focused on mental, physical, and emotional readiness. That preparation has helped Luke step confidently into every game, ready from the opening tip.
Off the court, Luke loves to fish, freshwater or saltwater, it doesn’t matter. He has his own boat and often hits the water with his dad, grandfather, and friends. Ironically, he doesn’t eat fish but just enjoys the chase. He also has a deep love for travel, having explored much of the U.S. and Canada with his family, always returning with new memories and a renewed sense of perspective.
I assess that Luke’s versatility, rebounding instincts, and two-way presence make him a valuable prospect with sky-high potential. His willingness to expand his game, combined with his size, defensive range, and shooting touch, gives him the tools to thrive in multiple systems. He can space the floor, protect the rim, switch screens, and operate inside-out, traits that translate well at the next level.
Luke is on the rise. He’s already impacting a strong team, but his best basketball is still ahead. As he continues to develop his handles, add strength, and gain confidence in expanded roles, expect him to emerge as a player who can stretch the court, anchor the paint, and contribute across the board. The foundation is strong, and he's only just getting started. Stay tuned for a breakout season ahead.
