Cooper is a towering force with a blend of inside-out versatility and fierce defensive energy. He’s a stretch forward who can knock down shots off the catch, create in the post with a smooth fadeaway or jump hook, and battle on the glass with anyone. His motor never stops defensively as an relentless shot blocker who plays with edge, effort, and unshakable intensity. Whether he's swatting a shot, gobbling up a tough rebound, or delivering a perfectly timed dime, Cooper thrives on momentum-shifting plays and elevates the energy of everyone around him. Coaches can expect a selfless workhorse who's constantly striving to grow and impact the game in multiple ways.
Last season may not have reflected the full view of Cooper’s abilities, averaging 3.2 points and 4 rebounds while battling limited minutes, but his growth since then has been solid. He's improved his athleticism, made huge improvements defensively, and embraced the grind needed to become a key contributor. This offseason, Cooper has committed himself to elevating his scoring arsenal and maximizing his physical tools. From improving his diet and tracking every calorie to building strength and endurance in the weight room, he’s all in. The most impactful part of his journey has been learning how to truly take care of his body and prepare like a pro. He’s playing with Utah Gold Select and competing in the AOG Power 32 tournament, with goals of earning offers, building his own name, and bringing home that $10,000 prize this week.
This coming season, Cooper is determined to lead Pleasant Grove to a state championship and show the world what he’s really capable of. The fire that fuels him is punishing blocks, smart passes, and proving every doubter wrong. Adversity only makes him hungrier, when it hits, he remembers why he fell in love with the game in the first place and the battles it’s helped him overcome. The best advice he's ever received is, “You can’t get to the top of the ladder in one step, but one mistake can send you to the bottom.” That mindset keeps him grounded, humble, and fiercely motivated.
Off the court, Cooper enjoys spending time with his friends and family, lifting weights, playing games, and vibing to music. But make no mistake, he’s always locked in and ready for the next opportunity.
I assess that Cooper’s unique skill set, a stretch big who can defend, score, and make winning plays, makes him an asset for any college program. His willingness to embrace his role, adapt to team needs, and do the little things on both ends of the floor gives him the ability to succeed at the next level.
Expect Cooper to elevate his production and visibility this season. As his confidence and offensive responsibilities grow, so will his reputation. With his size, feel for the game, and relentless drive, Cooper has the tools to evolve into a high-impact forward who college coaches will want anchoring their frontcourt. Stay tuned for a breakout season ahead.
