Thomas is a fierce, confident sniper with an electric stroke and a relentless motor on both ends of the floor. He brings a smooth, consistent shooting touch that stretches defenses far beyond the arc, whether he’s pulling up from deep or catching fire from the line, he’s a constant threat to erupt at any moment. His game flows with a calm but crafty pace, highlighted by his ability to rise into a one-dribble middy pull-up with deadly accuracy. Defensively, Thomas is active and fearless, racking up steals while guarding multiple positions with grit and energy. He doesn’t just play hard but plays with purpose, hunger, and a sharp edge. What separates him from most shooters his age is his belief. That inner fire, backed by repetition and trust in his preparation, gives him a cold-blooded calm every time the ball leaves his hand. Coaches can count on him to space the floor, lock in on defense, and battle with intensity from tip to buzzer.
Thomas has evolved into one of the most dangerous three-point shooters in his class, averaging three made threes per game and knocking them down at a high percentage, something he used to struggle with. His biggest improvement was his transition pull-up game and on-ball defense, where he now guards 1 through 4 and creates havoc with steals. This offseason, he's focused on becoming more dynamic with the ball, developing one-on-one scoring moves, tightening his handle, and building the pace to run the offense as a true point guard. His goals for AAU are bold and fearless: average four threes and three steals per game, continue growing with the ball in his hands and dominate on both ends while getting on the radar of college coaches.
He plays for JPSA Academy on the Puma NXTPRO circuit and is fired up to compete in the Pro16 Sessions in Wichita, Richmond, and Bryan. Looking ahead, he’s ready to embrace a bigger role at Jesuit High School, stepping into the spotlight in big rivalry matchups and proving he belongs in the starting five. His drive comes from a deep will to win and a love for the grind, always pushing harder when adversity strikes. And when things get tough, he remembers the best advice he’s ever gotten, "Keep shooting. Because confidence isn’t just a mindset, it’s his weapon".
I assess that Thomas’s shooting ability alone can open up a college offense as he demands closeouts, shifts spacing, and creates gravity off the ball. But pair that with his on-ball defense, quick hands, and hunger to get better, and you’ve got a complete player who’s wired to compete at the next level. His attitude, toughness, and confidence give him all the intangibles a coach wants in a guard.
Expect Thomas to keep rising. With a high basketball IQ, a fierce work ethic, and a chip on his shoulder, he’s just scratching the surface. As he continues to expand his ball-handling and playmaking, he’ll become a versatile, two-way guard who can run a team and take over games when needed. His potential is real, and his future is wide open. Stay tuned.
