Morguson is a crafty scoring machine who punishes defenders at will. He has some of the most insane handles and athleticism you will ever see. He also can make it rain from three point land, or he can blow past you with freaky speed and filthy handles. Morguson's game is smooth, crisp, and he checks all the boxes. He is able to freeze a defender in his tracks, drive to the rim, or pull up and land nothing but net, from any spot on the floor. He also plays solid defense and will go snatch rebounds.

This past season Conner averaged a jaw dropping 37.6 points, 7.8assists ,and 8.4 rebounds per game game earning him the #1 PG  ranking inthe state of KY and #19 in the entire country in his class. He broke theMiddle School State scoring record  with 1344 points! Only about to enter 9th grade, he is working on his leadership skills and focusing on being able to get his teammates even more involved in the game, and give them the chance to show what they too can do.His goals for his Freshman year of High School are to try to average a double double in points and assists.  He said it doesn’t matter to him if he has more points or more assists in a game, as long as his team gets that dub.

He loves when an opposing player talks trash to him, as all that does is fire him up. He loves taking the opposing crowd out of the game and listening to them get more and more frustrated and quiet. He is extremely poised for such a young player, and he is quick to let a bad play go.  He doesn’t dwell on mistakes, but instead quickly makes the necessary adjustments. When he misses a free throw, he comes home and shoots 1000 free throws for EVERY missed free throw! He is willing to absolutely put in the work to get better, each and every day. He quotes Micheal Jordan and how Jordan pointed out that he has missed over 9000 shots throughout his career, and that is why he was so successful. That is what drives him to constantly work harder.

When asked what a coach can expect from Connor, he said “A winner who absolutely hates losing. I will always put my entire heart and soul into each game. I’m never satisfied. There is always something I can improve upon.” He said he sees himself playing at a Top Ten D1 program, and he was quick to point out that wasn’t him being cocky, just confident in his work ethic. He said he has very high expectations for himself, and he holds himself to a much higher standard than everyone else.

My personal assessment is that this young star has the skillset that most High School Seniors don't possess. But, he still is hungry to get better. He is never satisfied. And that makes him even more dangerous to think of knowing he is only going to get stronger. There is no doubt in my mind, that he will be playing for any Top Ten D1 program he chooses to. He isn’t just a “game changer” but a literal “program changer.” This was my first time seeing him play, but it most definitely will not be my last!  Oh, did I mention he is also a dual sport athlete who is a beast on the football field as well?
