Steven Carter @StevenCCarter23 , 5'11 , 125 ,c/o 28 from Keystone Heights Jr/Sr High School, FL is a strong triple threat scoring option with a high motor and incredible court vision and high IQ. Steven is a playmaker and an instage game changer when he hits the floor. This stud is versatile enough to play multiple positions well. Strong and scrappy on defense. Steven puts in the work on the boards and makes dazzling passes. Solid ball handler with either hands and is aggressive attacking off the bounce.
Last season Steven 14 points,2 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal per game. In AAU playing with the Florida Blaze averaged 14 points,5 rebounds and 5 assists adding 1 steal and 1 blocked shot per game. Carter's biggest improvement has been his leadership and ball handling. Carter's goal entering the season was to continue to develop and fill the role of a better leader, rebounder.. And improving his attacking the rim and not over dribbling. This season Steven is averaging 13 points, 4 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks per game.and his steady improvement allowed him to be pulled up to the JV team. While coming off the bench in 8 JV games Carter 14 points, 5 rebounds, 1.5 assist and 3 steals. Still working on his body language / attitude drawing more fouls and certainly making varsity..
Carter brings a versatile skill set and is coachable enough to learn and adjust quickly to any challenge he faces out there. . With an insane work ethic this young star is in pursuit to be special in a short time and is evident in his performance that just keeps standing out no matter where he plays. The sky's the limit for Carter who has a really high ceiling . My assessment at this point is that he would be a solid D2 but with his work ethic and the fact he is still growing and developing , there is telling how high he will fly. Lock Carter in on your radar now and keep a close eye on him. One to watch.
