This blue-collar beast is a gritty, do-it-all double-double machine who plays with raw power, relentless energy, and pure heart. Luke is a nightmare matchup on the block, disruptive, dominant, and downright ruthless when protecting the rim. His shot-blocking instincts are elite, his motor never stops, and he’s always around the ball, cleaning the glass or causing havoc on defense. But make no mistake, he’s not just a bruiser. Luke is a true stretch big with the ability to score at all three levels, shoot it with touch, and facilitate with skill. He combines size, agility, and IQ to punish defenders inside and out while anchoring the defense like a seasoned pro.
This past season, Luke averaged 10.5 points, 7 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and a staggering 4.1 blocks per game while shooting a blistering 64% from the field. He led 6A in blocks and shattered school records for blocks in a game, season, and career, earning Defensive Player of the Year and a spot on the All-Conference 2nd Team. His squad made it to the Elite 8, but he’s hungry for more. Spring and summer ball he elvsted his game averaging 11 points, 12.5 rebounds, 4 blocks, 2.5 assists, and a scrotching 43% from three. His offseason focus has been in the weight room, training for strength, agility, and explosiveness, and it's already showing in his athleticism and mobility.
Luke plays AAU for the Elevation Flyers and is fired up for upcoming RecruitLook events in Atlanta and Chicago. His goals are to earn a D1 or D2 offer and continue playing the game he loves at the next level. Big blocks and dazzling dimes light his fire, but his passion is rooted in something deeper. After losing his dad to cancer at age 12, basketball became his peace, his outlet, and his anchor. It's more than just a game; it’s a part of who he is.
His mindset is locked in with a next-play mentality, and his goal for his senior year is nothing less than a state championship. With the firepower Chaparral is returning, he believes they can bring it home. Luke’s message is simple: keep watching, because the best is yet to come.
I assess that Luke’s rare mix of rim protection, floor spacing, physicality, and passing gives college coaches a frontcourt weapon that fits any system. He can anchor a defense, stretch the floor, and make smart decisions, traits that translate directly to the college level.
Luke is just scratching the surface. With his work ethic, emotional drive, and rising athleticism, he’s poised to be one of the most impactful bigs in his class. Expect him to dominate this season and make serious noise on the recruiting scene. This blue-collar workhorse is on a mission and determined to complete that mission. Stay tuned for a monster season ahead.
