Lexie plays with quickness, shiftiness, and confidence that keep defenses guessing, whether it’s raining in shots from deep, breaking defenders down, or creating looks for teammates. That edge is constant, and it comes from a mindset that refuses to take a play off.

That kind of game is built through work. Hours in the gym, getting shots up, pushing through days when it would be easier not to, and staying locked into getting better. Lexie understands that results come from consistency and that hunger shows in her ability to score at all three levels. The deep range, the step back, the confidence to shoot in any moment all come from the work she has put in long before the lights come on.

Joining the 1000-point club as a freshman is a milestone that speaks for itself. It meant a lot to Lexie, but she knows it didn’t happen alone. Holding a halftime lead against a strong Letcher Central team proved what they were capable of, but the second half didn’t go their way. That experience reinforced how quickly momentum can shift and how important it is to stay composed when things get tight.

Postseason basketball is where Lexie thrives. The energy, the atmosphere, and the pressure bring out another level of focus. The nerves are still there, but they come with excitement. There’s a better understanding now of how to handle those moments, knowing that the game comes in waves and staying steady is key.

Adversity came in unexpected ways during the season. Weather caused a long stretch without games and no gym time, which disrupted rhythm and preparation. Instead of letting that slow things down, Lexie and her team stayed focused and got back to work as soon as they could, showing resilience and discipline.

The biggest growth came from the work done before the season even started. Lexie put in a strong offseason, building the foundation that allowed her to be ready from day one. That preparation showed up in her consistency and confidence throughout the year.

Competing at that level has only added to her confidence and motivation to prove she can impact the game in any setting.
