Dagnawi is the definition of an all-around difference-maker. He has the size and versatility to guard four positions while making an impact in every phase of the game. He takes pride in scoring, attacking the boards, locking down on defense, and making the right play for his teammates. His energy never fades, his intensity never changes, and his team-first mindset allows him to fill whatever role is needed to help his team win. Whether he is creating offense, battling for rebounds, shutting down an assignment, or making the extra pass, Dagnawi's game is built around doing everything that leads to winning.

This past year was all about growth from beginning to end. Running with Cypress Triple Thr3at on the Puma Circuit gave him the chance to compete against high-level talent every weekend, and every tournament became another opportunity to prove his value. He wrapped up the Puma NXT Pro 17U Live Period in Bryan, Texas, averaging 11 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists, numbers that perfectly reflected the way he impacts the game. He wasn't focused on chasing points because he found ways to help his team in every category. Whether it was scoring when needed, cleaning up the boards, creating for teammates, or making winning plays that don't always show up on the stat sheet, Dagnawi showed he could impact the outcome in several different ways. More importantly, the season showed just how much his game had grown while giving him confidence that his hard work continues paying off.

The biggest improvement in Dagnawi's game came through his confidence and versatility. He became much more comfortable creating offense for himself, handling the basketball under pressure, and making plays for others without forcing the action. His decision-making improved, his understanding of the game continued to grow, and he developed into a more complete basketball player on both ends of the floor. Those improvements have made him even more valuable because he can impact the game with or without the ball in his hands.

The biggest adversity Dagnawi has faced has been being overlooked and having to earn every opportunity. Instead of allowing that to discourage him, he used it as motivation to keep working and stay patient. He learned to trust the process, focus on daily improvement, and never worry about who was watching because he believes the work will eventually speak for itself. That mindset continues driving him every single day and has helped shape both the player and person he is becoming.

Behind the scenes, Dagnawi's work never stops. When the gym is empty, he gets extra shots up, tightens his ball handling, studies film, and finds ways to become stronger both physically and mentally. Every workout has a purpose because he understands that success isn't built during games alone. His family, his goals, and the desire to prove that hard work can open every door continue fueling his fire every time he steps into the gym.

This offseason is all about taking another major step forward. He is focused on improving his ball-handling, becoming a more consistent shooter, building his athleticism, and elevating every part of his game. His goal is to put together the best season of his career while continuing to earn the attention of college coaches through his play, his work ethic, and his ability to impact winning.

Every coach knows exactly what they are getting with Dagnawi. After the way he finished the AAU season, expect an even more confident, skilled, and complete version of Dagnawi this year. He plans to build on everything he accomplished over the spring and summer, continue expanding every part of his game, and make an even bigger impact every time he steps on the floor. With his versatility, work ethic, and team-first mentality continuing to grow, his best basketball is still in front of him.

I assess that Dagnawi's biggest strengths are his versatility, energy, and ability to impact every area of the game. His size allows him to defend multiple positions, while his rebounding, scoring, passing, and basketball IQ make him valuable in every lineup. Add in his willingness to embrace whatever role the team needs, and he continues showing why coaches can trust him in any situation.

Dagnawi continues to build steady momentum because his game keeps expanding every season. His confidence has grown, his decision-making has improved, and his commitment to developing every part of his game continues to separate him.
