6’9, 205lbs, Class of 2026

Highland HS, UT

Soren is a dynamic stud and a two-way nightmare, equal parts sniper and enforcer. A rare mix of size, athleticism, and skill, he rains from deep with confident, parking lot range that stretches well beyond the arc. When he's not splashing from the parking lot, he’s punishing defenders down low with strong footwork, soft touch, and an instinctive post game. Defensively, he’s a straight-up problem. He erases shots with freakish timing and length, leads the whole state of Utah in blocks, and cleans the glass like Windex. Whether he’s guarding the perimeter or holding his ground inside, Soren makes it miserable for opposing offenses. Coaches get a 6’9 forward who can shoot, finish above the rim, anchor the paint, and switch 1–5, and that’s not something you see every day.

Last season, he averaged 11 points, 9 rebounds, 4 blocks (most in the state), and an assist per game. Soren's impact goes far beyond the box score. His biggest improvement this year came from stepping into a starring role; his stat sheet exploded as he grew into a dominant two-way presence. Highland rode his energy and leadership to its best season in school history: a region championship and a run all the way to the state finals for the first time in 15 years. This offseason, he’s locked in on tightening his handles and becoming more of a threat off the bounce, making him an even more dangerous stretch 3–4. He credits the success to staying locked in, having a short memory, and always moving on to the next play.

Soren is putting in major work on the UAA circuit with the 17U Mountain Stars. From his statement performance in Colorado to dominating at the Chicago UA Finals, he’s making the statement that he's built to be a next-level forward, without a doubt. Coaches are noticing. He now holds offers from Fort Lewis, Eastern Wyoming, and MSU Denver, and more are sure to follow as he continues to dominate. But more than exposure or stats, Soren is seeking redemption. After falling just short in the state finals, his mission is to get back and finish the job.

Off the court, Soren values quality time with family and friends and enjoys watching movies. The best advice he’s ever received is, "Run your own race." Whether it’s catching lobs, swatting shots, or raining triples, Soren plays with passion, poise, and purpose, and that’s why he’s making serious noise in Utah and beyond.

I assess that Soren’s ability to guard multiple positions, protect the rim, and stretch the floor offensively gives him the tools to instantly elevate a college program. His combination of size, mobility, and motor makes him an ideal fit in modern systems that value floor spacing and switch-heavy defense. Coaches can expect a high-ceiling forward who’s ready to impact winning from day one.

As he continues to grow his off-the-dribble game and evolve his offensive bag, expect Soren to become one of the most complete forwards in the region. With his work ethic, IQ, and love for the game, the ceiling keeps rising. He’s already making a name for himself, and the best is still to come. He is hungry and determined to stand out in Chicago and cut down the nets in Utah. Stay tuned for a monster performance ahead.
