Trent is a fierce, crafty stick of dynamite who plays like he is ready to explode at any moment. He brings real juice to the floor with a smooth shooting touch that can bring the rain from deep, and once defenders start flying at him, he fearlessly attacks off the bounce, slicing into seams and finishing strong at the rim. His game has a spark built on confidence, quick decisions, and a scorer’s mindset that never backs down. Even at his size, he finds ways to mix it up on the boards and stay involved in every possession.
His strengths show up immediately with tight ball-handling that creates space, high-level three-point shooting that stretches the defense, and passing ability that keeps teammates engaged. Defenses are constantly forced to choose between closing hard on the arc or dealing with his ability to get downhill. Areas of development to continue to develop a pull-up middy and stay aggressive for all four quarters, but the improvement already showing makes those next steps realistic and exciting.
Trent is averaging 18.5 points per game, shooting 47 percent from the field and a blistering 48 percent from three-point range, while hitting 3.2 triples per game. He adds 4 rebounds per game and consistently gets to the line at 77.8 percent, averaging 4.3 free throws per game. A four-year starter, he has already surpassed 200 made threes and joined the 1000 point club, a massive leap from 10 points per game last season and clear proof of his growth.
That growth exploded in his most recent game, where he had 38 points, grabbed 7 rebounds, and made 6 threes in a 76–70 win over McCreary Central at Bell County. He lived at the free throw line, going 14-15, and controlled the tempo with confidence and composure in a rivalry-style battle that demanded toughness.
The biggest improvements from last season to this year have been three-point shooting, overall aggressiveness, and on-ball defense. His focus remains on continuing to apply pressure offensively while becoming even more reliable defensively. Team goals are to win district and region, and doing it together.
What fires him up most is close rivalry games and trash talking, moments where intensity spikes and emotions rise. When facing adversity, Trent refuses to fold, staying positive and leading by example when things are not going his team’s way.
Trent brings immediate offensive value to a college program with his ability to stretch the floor, score in bunches, and attack closeouts with confidence. His shooting ability forces defensive adjustments, opening space for teammates and creating offensive flexibility. His willingness to compete, rebound, and defend despite his size adds to his overall impact and makes him a guard who can change momentum quickly.
Moving forward, expect Trent to continue building on his aggressiveness and defensive consistency while maintaining his efficiency from deep. As his midrange game grows and his on-ball defense continues evolving, his impact will extend even further beyond scoring. With his edge, confidence, and steady upward growth, he is poised to be a guard who thrives in big moments and keeps getting better with each season. Stay tuned.
