Chase is a lights-out shooter with a high basketball IQ and a commitment to unselfish basketball that elevates everyone around him. With a strong frame, he can punish defenses from deep, finish through contact, and guard multiple positions with confidence. His lefty jumper has a smooth rhythm, and his ability to absorb contact at the rim makes him a versatile threat on both ends. What separates Chase is the way he blends effort, defense, and energy every time he steps on the court—whether it’s running the floor with purpose, locking down an assignment, or turning defense into offense, he makes his impact felt.
This past season, Chase averaged 2.4 points, 0.5 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game in limited minutes after returning from surgery, playing in only 9 games. But the stats don’t tell the full story, he never missed a practice, workout, or chance to travel with his team, even showing up the day after surgery. His biggest improvement was his on-ball defense, gaining confidence in guarding different positions, and his resilience was rewarded when he knocked down a key three-pointer in the state championship. His offseason focus has been on tightening his ball handling to create more for himself and his teammates, while mentally staying locked in through every high and low. What fuels him most is shutting down opponents, setting the tone on defense, and carrying that energy into the game’s flow.
Chase’s AAU goal this past season was to limit opponents’ scoring opportunities, and he delivered. Coaches can count on him to play hard, defend with intensity, and keep his team-first mentality no matter the circumstances. Away from the game, he enjoys fishing, playing the violin, and spending time with family and his dog, but his competitive fire and work ethic remain constant. His journey through injury showed that he’s not just a player but a resilient competitor whose drive only grows stronger.
I assess that Chase offers a college-ready mix of toughness, shooting ability, and defensive intensity that can lift a program in multiple ways. His willingness to guard multiple positions and embrace whatever role is needed makes him a dependable asset who will compete with maximum effort every possession.
As his ball handling and offensive consistency continue to develop, expect Chase to emerge as a versatile two-way threat with the ability to produce in key moments. His growth mindset, work ethic, and defensive pride give him the foundation to become a standout presence and a player whose ceiling is still rising. Chase will make a hard push to get his team back to that state championship and have a much bigger impact with a breakout season of his own along the way. Stay tuned.
