The work started paying off before his freshman season was finished when Braxdyn earned a starting spot over the final few games, reaching a goal he'd set for himself long before that moment came. He brought that experience into his sophomore year and has made 15 tackles through the opening three games despite playing limited minutes in Weeks 1 and 3, when he played only the first quarter and part of the second. Instead of getting caught up in early numbers, his plan is to keep pushing himself and his teammates through the week, then take the preparation and film study from those long hours into game night with one thing in mind, helping his team win.

One of the biggest improvements in Braxdyn’s game has been how much more physical he's become. He's worked on playing more violent, whether that means delivering a big hit, fighting off a block, or battling through traffic to finish a tackle. That growth has added another layer to a linebacker who already processes what he sees quickly, giving him the ability to combine his mind with a harder edge once the action starts.

Braxdyn continued putting in the work day after day until he earned his chance, learning that persistence can change what once looked out of reach. That lesson has stayed with him and continues to shape how he approaches football today.

Braxdyn’s ability to diagnose plays begins with the details he studies before the ball is snapped. He watches the running back’s alignment and pays close attention to the stances of the guards, looking for clues that can give away what may be coming. Those reads allow him to anticipate instead of reacting, putting him in position to move quickly and meet the action with force.

Every time Braxdyn steps onto the field, he wants coaches and teammates to know they are getting everything he has. His energy doesn't change with the score or situation, and leadership remains part of what he brings every time he puts on the helmet. He wants to help the people around him play better while giving his team everything he can to the ultimate goal of walking away with a win.
