Austin is a straight-up matchup nightmare, a fierce, physical wing who can torch you from three, slice through defenders with control, or bully his way to the rim like it’s personal. With strength, skill, and a relentless motor, he mixes a silky smooth touch with an attacking mentality that never fades. He plays through contact with confidence and makes defenses pay whether he’s pulling up in the midrange or finishing strong off the bounce. His ball-handling ability, shot creation, and scoring versatility give him the keys to unlock any defense. And when the ball goes up, He’s battling for every rebound like a big man to the tune of 7.5 per game from the wing spot.

Austin averaged 18.5 points per game on 55% shooting, showcasing just how efficient and dangerous he is when he gets rolling. He thrives when the lights are bright, learning how to handle big-time pressure without letting it rattle his game. That composure was key last season, especially when his squad pulled off a thrilling win over their rivals in the Crosstown Shootout, a game that lit the fire for the stretch run. Now, his focus is locked on becoming a better playmaker, improving his ball-handling under pressure, and stepping into more of a leadership role. He's embracing the challenge of getting his team more involved and being the guy who controls the tempo, not just puts up points.

He knows defense is the next evolution. Austin’s putting in the work to become a more disruptive defender, turning stops into momentum and setting the tone early with energy. His growth mindset is real. He doesn’t shy away from mistakes, instead applying what his coach Brent Sowder calls “correction is love”, learning from every rep and refusing to let errors define him. That mentality has shaped him into the competitor he is now, one that thrives in high-stakes environments and uses every moment to improve.

This AAU season, his goal was exposure, and he delivered. He showed up, played his game, and left his mark, grabbing the attention of college coaches with his scoring ability, toughness, and effort. He’s looking forward to getting back on the court with his guys this season, competing hard, building chemistry with the younger players, and chasing a trip to state.

What fuels him most is the big-time atmosphere. The must-win games. The crowds that buzz. The battles where everything’s on the line. That’s when he turns it up, blocks out the noise, and takes over.

Off the court, Austin enjoys good friends, good games, and time to relax. But when it’s time to lock in, there’s no mistaking his focus. He’s a three-level scorer, a physical force, and a player who’s just beginning to scratch the surface of what he can become.

I assess that Austin brings the total package, size, scoring efficiency, rebounding strength, and an aggressive offensive mindset. He can be a primary scoring option, a floor spacer, and a gritty rebounder all in one. His motor and toughness make him a major asset, and as he elevates his ball control and defensive presence, his value to any college program will skyrocket.

With his scoring versatility and fearless attitude, Austin is built for big moments and tougher matchups. As he grows into more of a lead-guard role and evolves his all-around impact, he’ll become one of the most complete and dynamic players in his class. Expect him to keep elevating because his work ethic, fire, and drive are all there. Austin is just scratching the surface of his potential. Stat tuned for a breakout season ahead.
