Evan is explosive, scrappy, and fast. There’s an electricity to his movement that freezes defenders into hesitation. What he lacks in size, he makes up for with relentless pressure, a fierce motor, and that rare, crafty ability to operate at full speed with complete control. His game lives in the midrange, where he thrives playing off two feet, punishing defenders with floaters, leaners, and pull-ups that come in the blink of an eye. That quick first step isn’t just fast but dynamic. And when the lane opens up, he’s fearless, playing well above expectations and above the rim with a spark that few undersized guards possess. Whether he's slicing through pressure or locking down full court, Evan brings an edge that never lets up. Those of us who know, Evan plays with that DOGG mentality to outwork, outscrap, and downright outfight everyone on the court. That even more rare trait you just can't teach.
He backed it all up with big-time production this past season, averaging 20 points, 5 assists, and 2 steals per game while shooting 52% from the floor and 81% of his free throws. He’s not just active but efficient. He’s elevated his confidence and built his attack off two feet into a true weapon, allowing him to control pace and absorb contact. This offseason, his focus has been locked on two things: extending his range with a more consistent three-point shot and improving his vertical. Evan’s motivation is catching lobs, finishing above the rim, and knocking down shots with ice in his veins. He’s not chasing flash but growth, dominance, and a legacy built on buckets, wins, and unmatched energy.
On the AAU circuit, Evan plays for AIT Puma, where the competition fuels his fire. The level of players he faces and the intensity of those matchups have only added to his grit. His goals with Puma are to rack up wins, raise eyebrows, and pull in attention from college programs that value relentless, high-IQ guards with heart. His eyes are set on the Puma Championship in Orlando, where he plans to shine on a bigger stage and show coaches just how dynamic he can be when the lights are bright.
Above all else, Evan’s greatest strength isn’t found on a stat sheet, it’s in his faith. His love for God and his relationship with Jesus Christ are the anchor of his life. He boldly and proudly declares that Jesus is King, and every time he steps on the court, it’s with purpose and praise. Whether in triumph or adversity, he turns to God, leans into prayer, and walks with the confidence of someone who knows he’s never alone. The Lord is the center of his life, and his belief in something greater gives his game and his grind, meaning far beyond basketball.
Off the court, Evan is about good times, real connections, and enjoying life with friends. He doesn’t just hoop, he lives with joy. His fire comes from a passion to prove himself, to win for his school, and to create moments his teammates and community will never forget. When facing adversity as a smaller guard, and it often does, he puts his head down, blocks out the noise, and works. He doesn’t complain, he competes. He prays, then plays harder. The best advice he’s ever received is "Stay coachable". And he’s done exactly that, open to growth, hungry for knowledge, and always pushing for the next level.
I assess that Evan’s biggest impact comes from his relentless energy, speed, dynamic athleticism, and crafty midrange mastery. He’s a true floor general who competes at full throttle on both ends. His ability to control tempo, stay poised under pressure, and finish through contact gives his team a dangerous weapon in tight moments. His defensive motor, especially as a 94-foot pest, can change momentum and frustrate opposing guards.
Evan has high potential as a program-changing guard for the right college system. He brings toughness, confidence, and a scoring punch that translates regardless of size. His improving vertical and range show he’s actively adding new dimensions to his game, which is crucial for continued growth. Coaches looking for a leader who brings fire, fight, and faith will find Evan to be a culture piece, one who will battle for every inch and lift those around him.
Expect fireworks. Expect a guard who plays every possession like it’s his last. Expect three-level scoring, constant pressure defense, and continued development. Evan’s ceiling is rising fast, and as he checks off goals this AAU season and heads toward his junior year, don’t be surprised if his name starts popping up in recruiting circles. He’s coming with force, faith, and ferocity. Buckle up for this little giant who plays like he has something to prove. Get him on your radar now.
