Omar is a fierce combo guard with high energy, a non-stop motor, and a natural-born facilitator with strong ball-handling ability. Omar is a dynamic dual threat, a lethal catch-and-shoot 3-point bomber with a beautiful touch and quick trigger. But Omar is just as effective off the bounce. He uses a high IQ and good court vision to deliver some sweet passes. He is known as a pass-first player who always looks for the extra pass. Omar can mix it up on the boards and play solid defense.
On the stats sheet, Omar's performance speaks volumes. Averaging 22.3 points, 7.5 assists, and 7 rebounds during his last AAU season, he shot an impressive 39% from three-point range. Transitioning to varsity, he’s lighting up the court with a blistering 49% shooting from beyond the arc. In his JV season, Omar is currently averaging 16.7 points per game while contributing 8.3 points per game at the varsity level as a freshman. These numbers highlight his offensive versatility and ability to impact games at every level.
This season, Omar focuses on becoming more aggressive on both ends of the court while elevating his role as a team player. His goal is simple yet ambitious: lead his team to a deep playoff run and continue to develop his skills for the next level. Omar acknowledges the importance of staying focused during the offseason, putting in work with his coaches, and trusting the process. His improvement in game IQ, built through hours of studying film, has expanded his offensive arsenal, making him a scoring threat from anywhere on the court.
Among his achievements, Omar considers his invitation to the prestigious Pangos All-Midwest Sophomore and Freshman Top 200 Camp and his All-Star recognition during middle school as standout moments. These accolades highlight the rising star’s hard work and determination. While he doesn’t focus on specific rivals, Omar’s intensity never wavers—every game is approached with the same fire and focus, driven by a team-first mentality that pushes success.
What drives Omar on the court is his sheer love for the game. He sees every moment on the hardwood as an opportunity to give 110%, pouring his passion into overcoming adversity and keeping his long-term goals in sight. The best advice he’s received, about falling in love with the journey rather than rushing to the destination, has kept him grounded and motivated.
While Omar has yet to receive official offers, he’s already drawing attention from schools and has proven he can compete against players at the collegiate level. He believes his discipline, commitment, and consistent performances will eventually secure his place in a Division I or II program.
Omar is already showing that he can play high-level basketball and is giving a glimpse of the rising potential he possesses. Even now, it's clear Omar will be a consistent stock riser.
