Alexander brings grit to every collision, sharp eyes to every snap, and a relentless motor that gives his defense its pulse. His fierce tackling and command before the snap make him a force against opposing offenses, while his receiving ability gives him another way to change a game. He studies formations, communicates the defensive call, and takes charge of getting his teammates ready. Coaches can count on his effort, football knowledge, and refusal to back down, even when the game turns difficult.
Through 10 games, Alexander has stacked 95 tackles and 2 interceptions, along with 6 catches for 157 yards and a touchdown. The tackles stand out most to him because they reflect the consistency he's fought to build through a season of highs and lows. His goal is set on reaching 100 tackles in the next game, but the numbers also tell a bigger story. Alexander has answered the call on defense again and again while making his opportunities on offense count.
His biggest improvement has come as a blocker. After recognizing that his work off the line lacked consistency last year, Alexander devoted his offseason to sharpening that skill. He committed to steady training, took better care of his body, and treated the little details in practice as essential to his performance on game day.
Being named Scholar Athlete of the Week gave Alexander a moment to celebrate the work he puts in beyond the field. Senior Day gave him another memory he will carry with him: a 22–21 overtime victory at home against rival Union Local Jets. That win carried extra meaning after losing seasons in each of his first three high school years. Those losses taught him to learn from defeat and return with even more motivation for the next game.
Before the snap, Alexander’s reads the opposing formation, shares what he sees, and helps direct the defense with a voice his teammates can hear. For the rest of the season, he wants that dedication to show in every practice, every rep, and every opportunity to help his team respond to adversity.
Doubt fuels Alexander’s fire. When someone tells him he can't accomplish something, he takes it personally and puts the answer into his work. That mindset gives his game its edge: fierce in contact, dependable under pressure, and determined to prove himself with every snap.
I assess that Alexander’s production, defensive communication, and ability to contribute as a receiver show a versatile athlete who stays engaged throughout the game. His growth as a blocker adds another layer to the impact he can make for his team.
Alexander’s sharp instincts, fierce pursuit, and confident command of the defense give him the tools to disrupt plays before they develop. His versatility and growing skill at the line give him the potential to make an even bigger impact on both sides of the ball.
