DelQuaveon is a true point guard who can score on all three levels effectively but is a pass-first team player in a thread-the-needle fashion with a non-stop motor. DelQuaveon's great strength is his defense, he loves defense. DelQuaveon is a team player who is an effective communicator with his team to make sure they are on a good level and the same page. DelQuaveon has a high IQ and court vision and is patient to see the court before he does anything else playing at his own pace. DelQuaveon is fast with and without the ball with fast hands to steal the ball. DelQuaveon can get to the rim easily and make himself available to get good shots. DelQuaveon can jump out of the gym and is fearless, willing to jump for anybody and dive for anybody if I have to,
The most motivating thing that happened last season that will push DelQuaveon to move forward was making varsity for the playoff games. DellQuaveon was able to talk to the varsity coach 1 on 1 for help and things he needed to work on and was defensive player of the year. DelQuaveon's goal going into next season is to be a better leader and/or more of a leader to his teammates while being a dominant playerDelQuaveon feels like this is his breakout year hoping he can be seen more and develop 100%.
Playing AAU for the Humble Gentz DelQuaveon, his goals were to be a leader and show you, be a star and be a good supporter to the team while focusing on improving his footwork, his shot (mid-range / three-pointer), ball handling, and court vision.
What fuels DelQuaveon's fire the most is trash-talking or seeing his teammates down when they are losing, DelQuaveon tells them to keep their heads up and keep working, because seeing them down spoils the entire team one day all down but him, DelQuaveon will hype them up and do what he can to put them on top .. seeing them losing while DelQuaveon doesn't like losing at all if it's anything he can do to make his team get to the top.
A coach can expect fDelQuaveon to love asking questions and being a leader, so if I see something wrong or somebody is doing wrong, as an extension of the coach on the floor, DelQuaveo will address it or try to fix the mistake.
DelQuaveon sees himself as D2 at this moment, knowing there are things that he sees when he watches D2 that he knows he can do or do better while developing more with hopes of becoming a D1 star.
The defensive grit and understanding of his role so well is huge and gives DelQuaveon a high ceiling alone. DelQuaveon's leadership, IQ, and competitive fire are the things that will push him to his goals. Being very coachable and passionate about learning while being a coach on the floor is also a bonus. Year two of varsity loading. Keep a close eye on the season from this young star. Stay tuned.
