Huff is a physical, triple threat scorer who is a fierce playmaker. He simply overpowers defenders at will, and can hit any shot he wants, while mixing it up under the boards, and also plays solid defense.
Last season, he averaged 7.3 points and 2.2 rebounds per game. He said he felt that his coach didn’t have full confidence in him, and that he puts on himself. He has put in a tremendous amount of work in the offseason in an effort to show his coach exactly what he can bring to the table. He wants to win districts , regions, make a state run, and become the POY for both his division and region.
He played AAU for the Kentucky Select, where he was able to really focus on becoming a stronger defender. He averaged 20 points and 4 rebounds per game. He was a man on fire, which will only carry over to his high school season. Hard work pays off, and he knows it!
One thing I noticed about this kid is he is able to remain calm, cool and collected when things aren’t going his way during a game. He knows that he has to always remain positive and just continue to grind.
When asked what a coach can expect from him, he said “I will always be the hardest worker on the court, a leader, and also a great student in the classroom.”
His dream is to play college ball, and he feels that would be a true blessing.
My personal assessment is that if he continues to perform like he did over the summer, his stock will go through the roof. The reward of his hard work will open doors. his dream. He is hungry and focused and I am very curious to see just exactly how high this kid can fly.
