Josh is a fierce, versatile two-way weapon with an edge that separates him from the crowd. He’s an intimidating force in the post, equally comfortable on the block or stepping out for a jumper. His middy is underrated and automatic, especially off the dribble or in tight windows. Defensively, Josh is a menace. He’s a ruthless shot blocker with quick hands, sharp instincts, and a relentless nonstop motor. Whether guarding the paint or stepping out to the perimeter, his ability to disrupt and rebound makes him a nightmare matchup. He plays with a high IQ, sees the floor well, and attacks downhill with power and control. There’s no flash in his game; he's just hard-nosed and winning basketball.
This past season, Josh averaged 10 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game, highlighting his ability to impact the stat sheet across the board. His biggest improvement came on the defensive end, where he became a dominant presence in the paint and raised his game finishing downhill. He’s been working this offseason on scoring in isolation, tightening his handle into efficient 1-2 dribble moves, and becoming more consistent as a rim attacker. His biggest point of emphasis is expanding his range, developing his three-point shooting and perimeter defense while finding new ways to impact the game beyond buckets and blocks.
Josh set out with a clear mission for AAU to grow his game and earn a scholarship. While that chapter is still unfolding, the growth is undeniable. He’s learned to be more than just a scorer or defender by embracing reliability, intensity, and coachability. When the crowd starts buzzing and his team brings the energy, Josh feeds off it. That fire turns him into an even more dangerous competitor. No moment is too big. When facing adversity, he stays calm, goes to the next-play mentality, and sticks to the process, advice that’s guided his growth from day one.
Off the court, Josh loves traveling, connecting with new people in the basketball world, and discovering new places. As for the upcoming season, he’s hungry to keep growing, striving for consistency, and becoming even more complete in every area of his game.
Josh’s physical presence, defensive tenacity, and midrange touch make him a plug-and-play asset for any system. He doesn’t need to be the focal point to change the game; his passing, effort, and timing elevate everyone around him. Coaches looking for a high-effort big who embraces his role and produces on both ends should have him circled on their board.
As Josh continues to expand his range and evolve his isolation scoring, his ceiling rises. He’s far from a finished product, but that’s what makes him exciting. Expect a jump in scoring and versatility next season, especially if the three-ball and perimeter defense take the next step. With his motor and mindset, there’s no limit to what’s ahead. Stay tuned.
