Ethan is the kind of player who thrives on doing the little things that matter most. He’s a strong inside presence who can bully his way to the rim, knock down a middy, and step out to hit a three when needed. His passing ability makes him more than just a post presence; he can deliver on-point dimes from anywhere on the floor and is especially effective in the pick-and-roll, which he calls his bread and butter. What sets him apart is his willingness to play hard every possession, taking charges, diving for 50/50 balls, and making hustle plays that energize his team.
This past season, Ethan averaged 2 points per game on limited minutes in five games but made the most of his opportunities, shooting an efficient 62.5% from the field while adding 1.2 rebounds per game. His biggest improvement came in rebounding and defense, areas he’s committed to strengthening even further. He is focused this offseason on improving his scoring at the rim and continuing to build a quicker first-step pull-up. His determination has already paid off, helping his squad win the Tennessee Nationals and proving he can be a reliable factor when called upon.
What fires Ethan up most are the hustle plays, drawing charges, scrapping for loose balls, and digging in defensively. He approaches every challenge with the mindset of taking it one play at a time, staying grounded in his faith and work ethic. His favorite Bible verse, Isaiah 60:22, is written on all his shoes as a daily reminder that his journey is in God’s timing, not his own. That belief fuels his confidence that his breakout is coming at just the right moment.
Now, with a new coaching staff in place and a fresh opportunity ahead at the June Buchanan School, Ethan is ready to step into a bigger role. He’s no stranger to being under the radar, but he trusts that consistent hard work and patience will allow him to show why he belongs among the top in his class. Off the court, he enjoys lifting, fishing, riding, and even cutting grass, all while keeping faith, family, and discipline at the center of his life.
I assess that Ethan’s ability to combine strength in the paint with passing vision makes him a versatile piece for any system. His efficiency, defensive commitment, and willingness to make hustle plays give coaches a player they can trust to impact winning even when not filling up the stat sheet.
With continued growth in his finishing, defense, and conditioning, Ethan is poised for a breakout year. Expect him to make the most of his new opportunity, showcasing the grit, playmaking ability, and relentless spirit that could finally place him firmly on the radar where he feels he belongs. Stay tuned for this young star with something to prove and the chip on his shoulder to match that fire.
