Xavier Kirk was a fierce competitor out there, with hustle and energy that were crazy good. His high motor led to plenty of easy scores, and even within the team concept, Xavier still stood out as he seemed to be on every board, getting a ton of putbacks. He proved he could be an explosive slasher and crafty finisher. This young star worked so hard he made me sweat. He has that dog mentality that never quits or gives up, and I love that.
The biggest improvement was confidence. Last season, Xavier averaged 13 points, 9 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1 block, and 2 steals. Xavier's goals for the upcoming season are to make the All-region and state teams while leading the way back to the state championship. Xavier's energy sets him apart from everyone else. He is that dog, I tell ya.
He's an easy D2 player with the potential to reach lower D1 when it's all said and done. Xavier was a real gem I enjoyed watching.
