6’0, 145lbs, Class of 2028

Hancock County HS, KY

Nolan has quickly become an impactful sophomore on a strong varsity team, bringing a steady presence to the floor with the ball in his hands. He is an offensive threat who looks to score while still involving his teammates, using fierce ball handling, court vision, and shooting touch to keep the offense flowing. He plays with feel, stays under control, and consistently looks to make the right play.

After being sidelined for much of the 24/25 season with a thumb injury, Nolan returned with a deeper appreciation for the game and a stronger sense of purpose. That time away fueled his growth, especially after adding size and becoming a more reliable shooter. His biggest improvement has shown in his physical growth and shooting confidence, and that progress has translated to production. In a recent regular-season win, he finished with 13 points and 4 assists while going 6-7 from the field, a composed and efficient performance.

During the summer AAU season, Nolan averaged 15 points and 4.5 assists, continuing to show he can handle responsibility and create offense for others. Known as one of the top sophomores in the 3rd Region, he continues working toward consistency with his jumper while making strength his main offseason focus.

Competition fuels him, especially district matchups like Meade County, a game he has circled with intent. Coaches can expect steady leadership, consistent effort, and a guard who understands his role within the team. Whether it’s hitting shots from the perimeter or helping swing momentum, Nolan values making plays that matter.

Adversity has already shaped his mindset. Missing time with injury forced him to slow down, reflect, and recognize how much the game means to him. Mental toughness remains a point of emphasis as he continues building a next-play approach. Off the court, Nolan enjoys spending time with teammates, family, and friends. He has been training with Greg Keown, pushing himself daily and staying committed to improvement.

He has not received college offers yet, but he understands the process and believes in the work. All it takes is one coach to believe, and Nolan is focused on earning that opportunity through consistency and growth.

I assess that Nolan’s feel for the game, offensive awareness, and willingness to lead give him real value within a team setting. His ability to score efficiently, move the ball, and stay composed helps stabilize lineups and support winning basketball.

As Nolan continues to get stronger and more consistent, his role will continue to expand. He is on a steady rise, and with his mindset and work habits, he is poised to keep evolving into a dependable varsity guard and one of the region’s promising young players. Nolan is just getting started. Stay tuned.
