John is a player who makes his presence felt on both ends of the floor. With a smooth shooting touch and a knack for making smart decisions, he is the definition of efficient basketball. His high percentage shooting, defensive grit, and strong game IQ allow him to play well beyond his years. Always a threat on the perimeter, John forces defenses to adjust, and he thrives on reading and reacting to what’s in front of him. What sets him apart is not just his skill but his mentality. He comes into every game ready to put in the work, play for his team, and do whatever it takes to win.

This past season, John proved he’s more than capable of carrying a big role. He was a key player in securing a Freshman Championship, where he scored 17 points in the title game and was named Freshman MVP. His JV impact didn’t go unnoticed either, earning Co-Offensive Player of the Year honors. Beyond the achievements, his numbers speak loud and clear with a jaw-dropping 47% from three and a 67% true shooting percentage in AAU play. His biggest improvement has been his confidence, attacking the rim, being more physical, and stepping up defensively. Offseason work has been focused on improving vertical, explosiveness, and continuing to elevate his speed and ball handling.

John takes pride in being a coachable player who keeps the team first. He thrives in the heat of competition, especially when trash talk fuels his fire, and when facing adversity, he dials in and plays harder. His AAU goals were locked in on stepping up as a consistent scorer and defender while being more aggressive, and he checked every box. Next season, he looks forward to taking on stronger competition and proving that his game can translate at any level. Coaches can count on him to bring energy, effort, and humility every time he steps on the floor.

Off the court, John enjoys traveling, playing video games, and spending quality time with his family, making sure his mind and body stay ready for the battles ahead.

I assess that John’s strengths as a perimeter threat, high-level shooter, and intelligent defender make him a difference-maker for any program. His ability to stretch the floor, read defenses, and make plays translates directly to a college system where efficiency and decision-making are vital. Add in his defensive intensity and willingness to do the little things, and he becomes a player who impacts both sides of the game.

Expect John to keep elevating his explosiveness and confidence, giving him the tools to become a complete two-way guard. With a proven track record of big-game performances and the mindset to keep grinding, his ceiling is high. As he continues to grow physically and sharpen his skills, he’s set to develop into a player who can thrive under bigger lights and against stronger competition. Best part is John is just scratching the surface of how good he can be. Stay tuned for a breakout season ahead.
