GFC High School, KY

This dual sports athlete is an explosive basketball player earning a 5-star rating but he is equally or more talented at football. I would describe Connor as a speedy playmaker, who is extremely elusive, a mismatch for most defenders looking like a man among boys as he terrorizes his opponent with big plays, and dazzling athleticism as he blows down the field into the endzone. Connor hits those running lanes with speed, power, and purpose using his shift-elusiveness ability to freeze and then blow right by defenders and burst right through them. Connor's winning mentality and competitive fire with the drive to always be the best on the field helps him to excel. Connors's instincts, great ability to see the whole field in front of him, and his IQ to react before the defense can act anticipating their every move help make him successful. All this with breakaway speed - once Connor gets that one step past the defender it is paydirt!!

This past season Connor exploded for 2100 rushing yards, 960 receiving yards - averaging 11.2 yards per carry leading his team to 12-0 EKC Conference Champions. During this stretch, Connor had 6 touchdowns in one game. Connors's stellar performance earned him All-State wide receiver honors, 1st team(2-time) All-EKC Team and All-EKC All-Tournament Team selection. The numbers don't lie, Connor is an absolute stud. Connors's goal this upcoming season is simply to win another championship while being the best player and teammate he can be. Connor understands well that numbers don't mean as much without wins and most importantly he must always strive to get better. As with each passing season, he must compete on a higher level. Due to his success, everyone knows the plan is to shut him down. Connor’s goal is to send them home with their heads down making them think that kid just can't be contained.

What motivates and is Connor’s inspiration is playing to honor his sister who unfortunately had her life taken from her at a very young age. Everything he does is for her!

So handling adversity is nothing new for Connor. He has already faced so much and overcome it. This has given him the understanding that he must face it head-on. His confidence allows him to get through anything that comes his way. This young star knows adversity will come, how we handle it, and adjust for a successful outcome. Last season going undefeated and winning that championship was faced with much adversity. He excelled in handling it, dealing with the pressure, and putting in processes to excel. Connor and his entire team reaped the reward of taking home that trophy.

A coach can expect 110% blood, sweat, and tears from Connor and hopefully an undefeated season with a championship trophy added to the trophy case. That heart and confidence you just can't teach.  We in the sports world call it "DOG Mentality".

Connor sees himself playing on a high D1 level one day because of the natural talent and energy he brings while being a proven winner. He believes he can impact any program. When choosing a school, Connor says, a school that has a good athletic program and meets his academic needs are going to decide the perfect fit for him. Connor takes his academics just as seriously as his athletics. He believes you must excel in both to be a true success.

Connor's advice to those coming behind him is this, don’t look down, just keep going.

My assessment is Connor is an absolute beast, with his intense work ethic and drive to be not just among the best to ultimately be the best in everything he does. Connor is certainly a high D1-level potential talent who will never quit pushing for greatness which is exactly why he will always achieve his dreams and goals. I believe he knows nothing comes for free, and he will make all the necessary sacrifices to achieve his success. This young man is going to be a program changer with superstardom written all over him. Remember, y’all heard it right here as he enters his freshman year. I'm going to update each one of his seasons to validate his continued development and future successes.
