Mason is a versatile, high-IQ guard with international flare, a silky, smooth, long-range touch, and a relentless approach to creating opportunities. A lethal shooter from deep who can also finish through contact, Mason’s game thrives on reading defenses, making the right decisions, and executing with purpose. He’s the definition of a master floor general who knows how to control the pace, break down defenders, and elevate his teammates with smart playmaking. Whether it’s threading a bounce pass through traffic, calling out reads off screens, or hitting a step-back three from NBA range, Mason plays with poise and confidence beyond his years. Makes his impact felt mixing it up the boards too. His blend of scoring ability and basketball IQ makes him a true weapon, and what separates him from the rest is how he sees the game unfolding before others even realize it.
In the 2024–25 VJBL season, Mason put up impressive numbers: 18 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 1 steal per game, shooting a blistering 44% from three, 48% from the field, and a rock-solid 88% at the line. His biggest improvement came on the defensive end, where he took pride in guarding multiple positions and providing consistent impact. A key moment came when one of his team’s leaders went down with an injury, forcing Mason to step up as a primary ball handler without losing his scoring edge. That moment showed what kind of player he is as he embraced responsibility and raised his level when his team needed it most. Now preparing for his AAU run with the AUSA Wolverines, Mason is locked in on dominating each game while being the ultimate teammate.
His offseason goals are focused on becoming even more dangerous, developing his athleticism to elevate his defense, and improving his already elite shooting stroke. He’s especially excited about competing in the PUMA NXT16 tournaments in Virginia and Texas, hungry to prove himself against elite U.S. talent. As he transitions into American high school hoops, Mason is fired up for the challenge. Nothing gets him going more than an intense away crowd, he thrives in hostile environments, using the energy to fuel his fire and silence the noise with his game.
When facing adversity, Mason resets quickly by calmly breathing, re-centering, and returning to what he does best: making plays and helping his team succeed. The best advice he’s ever received is, "Scoring will only take you so far, you need to be a playmaker and get others involved". That’s exactly what he’s become: a versatile threat who can score with ease and lead with purpose.
Mason’s combination of shooting efficiency, court vision, and leadership makes him an instant contributor and long-term difference-maker. His adaptability, polished skill set, and global experience give him a unique edge that translates across systems and levels. He’s a coach’s dream with the mindset and maturity to impact winning right away.
With his move to the U.S. and a loaded AAU schedule ahead, Mason is poised to turn heads fast. His ability to take over games, create for others, and defend with intensity makes him one of the most intriguing rising guards in his class. The tools are there, the mindset is elite, and the breakout is just beginning. Stay tuned!
