Tyler is a relentless rebounding machine with a smooth jumper and a quiet determination that shows up every single night. He plays bigger than his frame, fighting for boards, finishing through contact, and stretching the floor with a confident shot. He’s one of the rare young players who understands how to impact the game without always needing the ball, doing the little things that lead to big wins. Whether he’s crashing the glass, making the extra pass, or knocking down open looks, Tyler is all about effort and efficiency. His rebounding, especially, is elite for his age and he’s only getting started.
This past season, Tyler averaged 10.5 points, 11 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game, making his presence felt across every area of the court. His biggest improvement has been his dominance on the boards, where he’s become a consistent double-digit threat. Now heading into the offseason, his focus is on locking in defensively and becoming a more consistent driver, turning weaknesses into strengths with the same work ethic that’s fueled his rise so far. The most impactful parts of his game this season were his rebounding and his shooting. Both have shaped him into a valuable piece on any floor.
Tyler is playing for the Tennessee Tigers this AAU season, where his goal is to get better. Especially on the defensive end, he’s determined to become more versatile and dependable. He’s most looking forward to their final tournament of the season, where they’ll face some of the top teams in the nation, high-level competition, and the perfect stage to show how far he’s come. But more than anything, he’s excited to make memories with his teammates and compete beside the brothers he’s built bonds with.
When the other team starts talking trash, that’s when Tyler locks in the most. It fuels him, sharpens his edge, and brings out his best. He handles pressure with poise and never turns on his teammates. Instead, he keeps a cool head, stays focused, and lets his play do the talking. The best coaching advice he’s received is, "You can’t fake hard work."
Tyler brings physicality, selflessness, and an elite rebounding presence to every team he suits up for. His ability to shoot, pass, and dominate the glass makes him a high-impact player right now, with even more upside as his defense and driving improve.
As Tyler continues to develop as a defender and attacker, expect his impact to continue to grow.. With his motor, rebounding instincts, and shooting ability, he’s got the tools to become a key piece for Lipscomb and a name to watch closely. Stay tuned!
