"The Versatile Rim Protector With Range"

Brycen Eubanks

@BrycenEubanks

6'8, Class of 2029

Mayfield HS, KY

Brycen brings a combination of size, toughness, and skill that makes him a difficult player to deal with on both ends of the floor. While his size naturally commands attention, it's far from the only reason he impacts the game. His basketball IQ allows him to stay one step ahead; he sees plays developing before they happen, and he consistently looks to create opportunities for his teammates. He plays with a relentless motor, competes every possession, and never shies away from doing the little things that help his team win. Add in the ability to stretch the floor offensively while protecting the rim defensively, and Brycen has developed into a versatile big whose game continues to expand.

This past season was filled with memorable accomplishments that helped build confidence heading into the summer. Brycen helped lead his team to an All-A Regional Championship, one of the biggest highlights of the year, and a moment he will always remember sharing with his teammates. Individually, he led the team in both overall field goal percentage and two-point field goal percentage, showing his ability to finish efficiently around the basket while making smart decisions with every touch. Winning that regional title stood above everything else because it showed the hard work, chemistry, and commitment the team built throughout the season.

The momentum has continued into the AAU season with UpNext, where Brycen has become an important piece of one of the top teams in the country. Ranked No. 1 on HoopSeen, the team has enjoyed an outstanding summer, and he takes pride in knowing he has made a major impact on that success. Playing against high-level competition every weekend has continued to elevate his game while giving him another opportunity to prove he belongs against some of the best talent in his class.

One of the biggest improvements in Brycen's game has been his ability to attack defenders off the bounce. That added weapon has opened up everything else offensively. Defenders now have to respect his ability to drive, making it easier for him to create shots for himself while also creating better opportunities for teammates. Combined with his ability to stretch the floor and finish efficiently, his offensive game has become much more complete than it was just a year ago.

The biggest challenge he faced came when he fractured his ankle, forcing him to step away from the game and focus on recovery. While injuries are never easy, Brycen used that experience to develop a greater appreciation for taking care of his body and understanding how important recovery is to long-term success. Rather than allowing the setback to slow his progress, he returned with an even greater commitment to improving every area of his game.

That commitment shows up long before the games begin. Brycen approaches every day with purpose, whether he is in the weight room, working on his skills, or training with different coaches to continue expanding his game. He embraces the daily grind because he understands consistent work creates consistent results. His goals are to keep winning, continue developing throughout the AAU season, and earn the opportunity to play DI basketball through his performance and work ethic.

When matched up against highly ranked or well-known players, Brycen never changes his approach. He wants every opponent to earn everything they get. He competes with physicality, toughness, and determination while making every possession a battle. Instead of worrying about rankings or reputation, he focuses on making life difficult for whoever lines up across from him and helping his team come away with the win.

I assess that Brycen is a versatile two-way stud who impacts winning in more ways than the stat sheet can always measure. His combination of size, basketball IQ, toughness, and expanding offensive skill set gives him value on both ends of the floor. He competes with energy, communicates well, and consistently puts the team's success ahead of individual numbers.

Brycen continues to develop into a complete modern big man who can stretch the floor, attack off the bounce, protect the rim, and make smart plays for those around him. His willingness to embrace hard work and improve every part of his game continues to raise his ceiling. Coaches can expect a high-motor competitor who brings leadership, toughness, and unselfish basketball every time he steps on the floor while doing whatever is needed to help his team win.
