Justin makes the game look electric every time he steps on the floor.. He blends length, strength, and bounce with a versatile skill set that allows him to dominate both ends of the court. A dangerous three-level scorer, he can rain threes with confidence, slice into the lane with tight handles, and finish with authority at the rim. His defensive motor is just as fierce. Frye takes pride in guarding the opposing team’s best player and using his size to disrupt everything from perimeter possessions to shots at the rim. That two-way ability has become his trademark, and when you add in his rebounding and ability to fuel transition offense, you see why he’s quickly becoming a name college coaches can’t ignore.
This past season and summer only added to his momentum. Frye elevated his shot consistency, became more confident as a creator, and grew into a vocal leader who held teammates accountable in tough stretches. With Wildcats Elite, he showcased his game against some of the best competition in Phenom, Made Hoops, and HoopSeen events, averaging 18 points per game against EYBL opponents and leading his team to a Phenom League 16U regular season championship. His highlight reel includes big-time performances like helping topple Bates Fundamentals EYBL, and his confidence soared after proving he could shut down top scorers in the state. Frye describes himself as a two-way wing who can impact a game without forcing the ball, yet score in bunches when needed. Whether it’s blocking shots, throwing down dunks, or hitting clutch threes, his energy fuels teammates and ignites the crowd. With a D2 offer already on the table from Lees-McRae and more interest coming in, his upside is massive. Coaches should know they’re looking at a competitor who thrives on defense, rebounds with authority, and will do whatever it takes to win.
What fires Frye up most is momentum-changing plays like a clutch three, a chase-down block, or an and-one finish that lifts his teammates’ energy. When facing adversity, he remains steady, focusing on the next play and trusting his preparation. The best advice he carries everywhere is, “Don’t get too high, don’t get too low, just keep working.” Off the court, Frye enjoys time with family and friends, enjoys music, and studies NBA players to sharpen his own game. For a player with his frame, athleticism, and motor, the future looks bright, but his humility and hunger to keep working ensure he’ll never settle.
I assess that Justin has a lot of DOGG in him, you can't teach, and along with his ability to guard multiple positions, score on all three levels, and bring relentless energy, makes him a program-changer for college coaches. His defensive pride and rebounding presence will immediately translate, while his offensive versatility gives him the potential to step into a significant role early in his college career.
Frye’s ceiling is sky-high, not just a player to watch, but one who’s already proving he belongs on the biggest stages. With his continued growth as a ball-handler and playmaker, along with his college-ready frame and defensive intensity, he’s destined to rise as one of the premier wings in the 2027 class. Expect him to keep building on his breakout performances and elevate his game even further. Stay tuned for a monster season ahead.
